This is a gem of a place, an extremely beautiful Loch with sandy beach, forrests and rolling hills in the background it's picture post card at the very max. There are plenty of boat and canoe option's to take to the water but you can just chill and go al fresco on the beach, have a nice stroll or enjoy a drink and snack in the cafe, the hot chocolate was spot on. The sun was out on this early April day and I could imagine how good it would be in summertime, you'd do well to visit anywhere that has a sandy shore more pretty. A must visit.

Lovely walk in a beautiful location. Our weather was great and spent a few hours walking round loch with our dog.

Stopped at Loch Morlich on a cold, sunny January day. It was flat calm and the views across the loch were incredible. This must be one of the most photo friendly spots in the UK - impossible to take a bad photo.

We were in Aviemore after quite a bit of snow and very cold temperatures so the loch was frozen. Very pretty and worth a stop if you're going by or in the area. If you only have time for one loch in the area, I'd pick Eilein.

We came here several times to eat and explore the Loch.There is a warm reception at The Pine Marten Bar and Great food provided by Scott and his team.There is a large Campsite there where You can pay to stay or a smaller car park on the Loch,.(can't remember if You can stay there though).Really nice place and lots to do there.

We hadn’t pleasure of visiting this location during a recent vacation to the Aviemore area.
This was the first time that the author had visited this particular beauty spot in over 52 years and was not disappointed.
There is now a variety of walks in the area.
The walk we chose was a circuit of the loch which was some5 miles. It’s as absolutely gorgeous. I was also very pleased to see that there had not been over development in the area .

A great find, must be the highest beach in the UK.
Very busy even on a blustery day, lots of kayaking and paddleboarding here,with amazing views of the mountains beyond.

We booked a paddle boarding lesson for 4 novices. The lesson lasts one hour and you can opt for an additional hour on your own. Instructors were brilliant think it was Cameron and Izzy. Also, highly recommend the extra hour as we had a blast.

When we where there, a lot of folk had paddle boards and sail dinghies but couldn't tell you how much though
My husband and I and our two grown up children want to come and wild camp on the beach at loch morlich just for the one night.. We are respectful and responsible people who would leave the place as we found it.. We also have two well behaved dogs.. Is it permitted to pitch a tent on thd beach and is there somewhere to park the car overnight

Yes you can, just don’t light a fire, block the roads or leave litter. It’s a great spot, you can walk around the beach and find a wee place the pitch your tent. The rangers and police will come say hello but they will NOT move you along
Is the walk round the loch suitable for a small mobility scooter to use?

I think it would be, but be aware it is a trail path so is rough.

There is a campsite a few yards off the beach, it would be best to stick to that,

Hi Sarah, sorry to take so long to answer: I know dogs are allowed on the beach and in the water but not too sure about "in hire boats" --- children are allowed so I can't see why dogs aren't allowed - Cheers, Marilyn
