we love taking our german shepard to Irvine beach, it is very clean and there is miles (it appears that way,i have never measured) of sand

Well done Irvine.It was brilliant idea to place the wheelie bins the full length of the beach. Other types are empried by the gulls. It must be one of the cleanest beaches in the U.K.

Visited when in the area, nice clean beach and pleasant walk. Good amount of car parking spaces too.

A praia é bonita, tem um parque ao lado, é fácil estacionar e o ambiente é agradável. Mas estamos na Escócia e, por isso, a água é gelada para quem está habituado às temperaturas mediterrânicas... mas havia muita gente na água a brincar... isso da temperatura é sempre muito relativo!

An absolute nightmare with roadworks , diversions and lack of signage to get there but once we found it, the beach was well worth it. Miles of sand, lovely sea and toilets with carpark.

Nice long beach with beautiful views and plenty to see and do there’s a museum not far from the beach and a big gift shop and lots of boats/ships. There’s also plenty cafes and bars and restaurants to suit all budgets and families while taking a walk along.

Fantastic beach for dog walking. My dog chases cars unfortunately, terifyingly, but there are no roads nearby, just a huge spotless beach with an expanse of grass beside it. Our new favourite place.

Irvine est une petite ville mi-traditionnelle écossaises, mi-industrielle. Le port et la plage constituent un magnifique endroit pour aller se balader !
L’accès ne pourrait pas être plus simple, il y a des trains depuis la gare centrale de Glasgow toutes les demi-heures et le trajet ne dure que 32 mins ! Il y a également un grand parking au début de la plage.
Possibilité de faire une marche d’environ 2h30-3h pour rejoindre Troon et prendre le train pour retourner sur Irvine ou sur Glasgow.
Belle balade à faire pendant une journée ensoleillée!

This is definitely the best beach in north ayrshire and is maintained daily by the clean up crew, coast watch and the council.
It is a great place to spot wildlife as there is seals in the harbour, lots of various birds, swans, sometimes dolphins and the occasional whale.
Glad to see that its finally getting regenerated and hopefully will bring much needed facilities to the area!

I honestly don't know; but the tide comes very close to the sand dunes when it comes in. So perhaps not the safest place to camp.
