Spectacular and don't know what else to say other than we saw it. Great 360 views from atop the hill and got great photos.

An amazing experience as a family. Well worth all the hardwork it involves if you are especially not used to hill walking. The gentleman at the Munros shops at Aberfeldy was very helpful.
There is a steep climb at the start though well laid path, the top boulders is a bit tricky especially for ones ankles but it all becomes well worth it as we take in the views.
The weather held itself for us..

For me, as a non seasoned hiker, as the notice at the beginning of the walk said - strenuous! As with many other reviews, the everlasting boulder field was a bit if a shocker! BUT the experience was amazing! The views spectacular (one could say magical) and a massive sense of personal achievement.

Just back from climbing this mountain, made it to the top weather was mixed but did get good views at the top nothing could quite prepare me for the bolder fields which seemed to go on for ever but a good path at the beginning of the hike

was still alot of snow around higher up so we chose to stick to the low levels ,as we never had crampons or ice axe

First proper mountain climb. But well worth the struggle once the summit is reached. A bit rocky at the last 45min haul. Parking could be looked at for improvement had to park half way up the road.
Would climb again but thats the First monroe done.

This is a good hill to get bagged however I would caution that there is very limited parking in the area and you'll need to be there extra early if you're going at busy times of the year!

A good pleasant walk in the sun. The path from the main car park is a steady slope, never very steep but not a gentle gradient either. There are at least 3 apparent 'false summits' on the way up but the top is unmistakable. On clear days the views of Loch Tummel and Loch Rannoch are excellent.

Went on a Saturday morning ,the main car park was nearly full but plenty of space in the overspill car park. The first half of the walk is on a path. Second half is a bit more harder for the boulders and rocks. Walking boots are a must!! Views where stunning at the top. Enjoyed it.

Firstly - make sure you plan to arrive at very small car park for Schiehallion early in morning. Arrived last Saturday morning after a 40 minute drive to find out car park was full and we were turned away with only alternative option to park back 3 kilometres and walk! Marshalls are really nice folk and very helpful but it was very disappointing. Got there next day early and parked. Midgie central so be warned as they were ferocious in car park and first part of the walk!!!
First hour of so of walk pleasant meandering steepness but last hour to hour an half is navigation through a SERIOUS and continual boulder field of loose rocks / boulders. No designated path through them for majority of it. Misty and drizzly at times on our return which made the rocks slippy and even more treacherous. Strenous hike up as a result and very hard work from a safety perspective and of course once at summit these have to be re-negotiated again on way back down.
This is without doubt the least favourite Munro I have ever hiked / bagged and I will NEVER repeat! Quite surprised to see folk going up this mountain in trainers which given the arduous terrain of loose rocks, is just completely foolhardy.
In the future, I shall admire the view of this mountain from across the loch. Be warned - it is a serious navigational hike.

Staying at loch rannoch highland club and want to walk up schiehallion. How far is the walk from highland club or is it a car journey to get there. We are good walkers!

If you do drive there, the car park gets full up early, and will stay full for a few hours, as that's how long it takes to walk to the summit and back.
Don't park in the road near the car park as the local council love to give out parking tickets. It's a real money spinner for them every weekend.
So either arrive early or park off road somewhere.
