It has been such a long time since I attended a themed evening like this. It was a night of fun, food and frivolity with a four-course meal, bottomless red and white wine jugs, audience participation and singing and dancing with music provided by a talented harpist and violinist.

Medieval banquets are back. Served a sample of mead upon arrival. Wine and water available on the tables. Food was plentiful and good. Entertainment needs a little work. Harpist and violinist were great. Singers were more like soloists and not a group (alto was also flat). Dancer wasn't necessarily paying attention to the beat of the music. Needed better mics. Disappointed that the food service lasted longer than the entertainment. Should get better as time progresses. Good place for an evening out.

What a fun evening. From the mead greeting throughout the evening we were transformed to the middle ages. Getting to be King and Queen of the evening was a special treat, but our whole group enjoyed the evening. The musicians were quite talented and the dancer was fantastic. Loved the harpist and violinist. All this and good food too. Recommend it for sure.

We came and made a stop by to see this castle but did not have tickets to stay. There was a dinner show in progress at the time and it sounded like everyone was having a really good time. Will definitely buy tickets for next time.

My husband and I really enjoyed the music, dancing and delicious food. The young ladies' voices were lovely and Connor a great Irish dancer. The harpist and violinist added beautifully to the evening. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Dinner service was amazingly fast. The host of the evening was talented and made the whole program jolly. Didn't think we'd like the mead but it was very good.

A fun night at a more remote castle. The show was marvelous and very entertaining. We were greeted by the royalty of the castle who gave us a cup of mead. The dinner was delicious and well timed.
We loved the humor, music and dance which brought the evening to a close at 2130. So glad we included this in our itinerary.

Our evening was very memorable! The food was good, the entertainment lively and the mead was excellent! (so good that when we got back to the States, I tracked down the meade and ordered a case.) Elaine, was wonderful. She was very hospitable, had a smile on her face, and was engaging as she interacted with our table. Loved this time on our tour!

had a wonderful Medieval Banquet at this Castle, I wanted to experience this castle more than others as it has a more age old feel to it and less commercial in my view, and I was not disappointing in anyway, in fact we all loved it the four of us who attended.

Ten of us attended the Knappogue Medieval Banquet and it was just as fabulous as ever. This was perhaps my 5th or 6th time attending this banquet and, it was just as much fun as the first time I attended in August of 1975. This time we were 4 children and 6 adults. As usual, dealing with the women at Shannon Heritage made everything so easy for me. And, as usual, we will be back.

We attended Knappogue Castle’s medieval banquet back in 1996, and were delighted with our return visit this month. The wonderful hospitality, music, dance and culture in this intimate setting is magical. Talented performers, most of whom double as servers, make you feel welcome. Most guests arrive on coach tours, but we booked separately and drove there on our own. Plenty of parking available. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and highly recommend the venue.

We will be staying in the castle for one night in May. The banquet is booked by a private party so we will not be able to attend. How long does the program last. What time does it start and end? Thanks

The dinner program will not have any negative impact on your stay. If you go to the passage way in the back bedroom behind the kitchen, there is a hallway that leads to an area that is just above the banquet room. There is a place there that is covered by a large medieval royal type flag that hides a balcony where you could look down into the dinner area and behind the flag you can enjoy the music. The dining area is not totally sealed off from the living area. Explore have fun
