The whiskey collection is absolutely stunning. If you’re struggling to decide which one to order, they offer a bunch of whiskey flights to help narrow down the decision. The bartender Thomas was extremely knowledgeable and fun to nerd out with. We had such a great time, we returned later that evening!

What a great find this was old style decor with open fire lovely crowd.
Called in here on two occasions one afternoon and one evening, on arrival greeted by staff as if we had been there before and were known.
Staff remembered our drinks when I approached the bar.
Great selection of whiskeys and good knowledge.
Not sure if it was the owner or manager (Mayo man) who went around chatting with people nice touch.
Will call again and again

Very Impressed. The selection this place has is second to none, very friendly staff even with how busy the place was during my visit, I’d like to acknowledge Matthew for his lovely service, and I felt as though he went out of his way for me, which was quite nice. I was also very impressed with all the staffs knowledge, they were able to tell me plenty about my drinks. The cocktail selection is very impressive and I cannot recommend enough the Signature Old Fashioned, I’ve never seen one made like this and I really enjoyed it. Brilliant atmosphere and a beautiful bar, top marks!

We were in this bar for the jazz it was great music very busy having a great night except for a very rude member of staff all in all it was a good experience but rudeness in any form is unacceptable complaint made to owner. Went to other venues on the trail all very busy but everywhere else we went met with courteous and nice staff especially in the Clayton hotel fantastic music fantastic experience

Lovely bar in Victorian section of town -- we just happened upon it and walked in for a pint or three. Lots of rare and fine whiskeys if you are into that. Bartender was very friendly and gave us a great tip for the best seafood restaurant in town -- Goldies (he wasn't wrong!). Poured us some nice draft beer and we did an Irish Stout taste test including the local Cork one -- Beamish. A bit strong tasting for me -- so Guinness was the winner. Surprised it only has 4.2% alcohol. Place is close to two amazing Irish Pubs with free live music -- so drop in here on the way!

Popped in here Saturday afternoon after reading about it online. Lovely relaxed bar, old style, staff so friendly, nice and informative. Didn’t get the guys name that looked after us but he was so nice and chatty and made us so welcome. Drinks were lovely, great selection and reasonably priced. Definitely did not want to leave this bar but can’t wait to call in again on our visit to cork.

friendly staff,great atmosphere, great drinks,this place is steeped on history and is truly awsome...well worth a visit!
the original " snugs" are still there and so much do take in on the walls there.great drinks,also outside seats for smokers and a must visit pup!

A lovely, friendly and welcoming bar. As we entered the door a staff member walking past said “hello ladies, welcome!”. Then we were served by the wonderful Thomas who’s just adorable and really knows his stuff. Don’t miss visiting this pub!

After an eight day family trip through Ireland, and many pubs, the Shelbourne Bar is the one we still talk about. We challenged Rory to make us a round of Old Fashioneds and he created the BEST one we’ve ever drank. Later in the evening some ordered a vodka lime juice and again it was not only delicious but unique. This was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday evening. Rory is a mixing genius. Looking forward to returning next time we’re in Cork.
