Tried to visit the restaurant with my wife for a drink since there was live music and we were only in town for the night. They didn’t wanted us in because there was a dress code. I was dressed with jeans and a jacket like everyone else and my wife had a pair of pants and a jacket with high fashioned boots. Idk what the dress code was but for sure we felt discriminated by the gentleman at the door who didn’t let us in.

We came here with the family, 7 of us all together. We had to pre-book for dinner and entertainment. The food was great with all the Irish favourites on the menu. The entertainment consisted of musicians playing some great traditional Irish music who were happy to take the odd request. During the set some young Irish dancers came out to do their stuff. While not Riverdance quality they were clearly enjoying themselves and their joy was infectious. My only criticism was the stairs to the 1st floor were difficult for one of our party who had mobility issues. Other than that a very enjoyable night, great atmosphere and a terrific point to kick off from if you want to hit the town afterwards.

Wir waren zu 4 am Sonntag zu Mittag essen und waren absolut begeistert. Ich hatte ne Vorsuppe, wir Männer Steaksandwich (das habe ich das erste mal Medium rare perfekt bekommen 🤤…. Die Mädels hatten Nudeln mit chicken und scampis und Hähnchenstripes mit Blätterteig…. Absolut top 👍🏼

Me and my girlfriend were on a day out/date in cork, feening for some coffee we decided to pop in to the quite lavish looking, frisky whiskey, and take a try at their coffee, after a great experience with the staff member Kate we were greeted with some lovely coffee, a really nice flat white perfectly made Kate came back to make sure we were sorted and was constantly attentive in making sure we were OK, after leaving and spending the day perusing the shops we returned for another bite to eat, this time my girlfriend got a Latte and I chocolate fondant with a side of vanilla ice cream, one of the best desserts I've ever had, Kate still being lovely the whole time, and is hands down the best server I've ever had.

Just had a fantastic experience in the frisky whiskey. Friendly and so professional staff led by an absolute gentleman Fionn . Cocktails were amazing especially “ away with the fairies”. Food was fantastic and atmosphere was great would highly recommend this establishment. A must visit when in cork

Being naive Americans, we envisioned visiting any pub anywhere in Ireland and being able to hear Irish music. But instead we kept running into cover bands playing American tunes--mostly from the 70s. That is, until we found the Frisky Whiskey bar. The band here gave us our fix as we ate fish and chips. It was great, and we enjoyed the two boys who would take the stage occasionally to do some clogging.

We came to The Oliver Plunkett on the recommendation of our hotel receptionist and we're really glad we did. Downstairs had a live band, but it was too loud for us to hear each other so we came upstairs to The Frisky Whiskey and it has been such a fun evening. We both had chowder, I had Irish stew and my partner had the beef and Guinness pie, plus cheesecake; I was fit to burst! Fabulous food and great musical entertainment all evening, plus really friendly staff. I wish we were staying in Cork longer so we could come again.

Super fun evening. Music and clogging was great. Sit at bar if you want to spend the evening. There are two dinner shows and the tables clear out between.

When you're downstairs at the Oliver Plunkett in the early evening, you'll hear the Irish music playing upstairs. It will get you foot stomping and make you want to go up there to check it out. Make sure you do!
