Fabulous Tour

It was easy working with Cathy to set up our tour and wish list. We took a 5 night 6 day tour and had Tony as our guide for the south west peninsulas. He was prompt, entertaining and attentive. Our hotels suited our request of being in towns and accessing to nightly music. We pleasantly worked around the weather and saw breath taking places that were well off the beaten path. He accommodated us with plenty of stops to enjoy and soak in the fantastic views. Looking back we would have done nothing different. Thank you Tony and Cathy for a forever memorable tour.

The best way to see the Ring of Kerry and beyond
5 stars are not enough to rate our tour with Tony as our guide and driver. We experienced the very best of not just the Ring of Kerry but also went where the big busses can’t, going through the town of Portmagee and off the beaten path for amazing views of Skellig Michael. Lots of stops, lots of history and maybe, just maybe, a tall tale or two. Tony kept us entertained, engaged and safe on the roads fit for the professional drivers, navigating the way around in a comfortable van giving the 6 of us all a window seat to amazing sites. This is truly the best way to see the Ring as we made more stops and stayed longer because we didn’t have to unload 50 people at each stop and enjoyed our interaction with Tony as if he was part of our traveling group.

Stellar private day tour from Cork to the Ring of Kerry

We booked and took a private tour for 5 people from Cork with Munsterbus Tours on 9/28/2022. Tony Murphy was our driver and guide, and it was a day and money well spent. Tony was a solid driver and did a wonderful job of teaching us about the places we visited, played fun music, was accommodating of our frequent requests for bathroom breaks, and was quite lovely to talk to. He contacted me the day before the tour, and kept me up to speed as he was on his way to pick our group up. The bus could hold up to 15 people, so there was plenty of room for the 5 of us.

I wholeheartedly recommend booking Munsterbus Tours if you are seeking a stress-free and really decent touring experience in Ireland. This trip was a family one with all adults, and after learning that Munsterbus does custom tours that include hotels, we'll definitely be booking them again for future trips to Ireland, which is a frequent vacation destination for us. Really worth it.

Cliffs with Vincent

We did the Cliffs of Moher from Limerick with the Paddywagon tours. Our driver Vincent was funny, knowledgeable with quick wit. Would definitely recommend as we also went to the Baby Cliffs and made a quick stop at the local pub (Doolins) an incredible Irish pub with friendly staff and locals!

Seven Day Private Tour

My wife and I just finished a seven-day tour of the southern and western parts of Ireland. All I can say is...Wow. We didn't want to rent a car, preferring instead to have someone with extensive local knowledge tour us around the country. A friend had used Munsterbus Tours and recommended them to us. We were not disappointed.

From the moment Tony picked us up at the airport, we felt comfortable and relaxed. If we had to drive those narrow roads, we wouldn't have enjoyed the trip nearly as much.

We had the benefit of a guide who knew the best paces to eat, the hidden areas to stop for pictures, and had an extensive knowledge of local history. Best of all, he was able to flex the schedule on the fly, if he thought there was something we wanted to see. I am a golfer, so he took us to the Adair Country Club, where the 2027 Ryder Cup will be played. That would never been possible on a big-bus tour.

If we had a chance to do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing.

The only way to see Ireland!

Four couples took a 7 day tour of Ireland and Northern Ireland with Munsterbus Tours. This was actually our second time using Munsterbus. The first time was with our 2 young adult children in 2019. We enjoyed our time in Ireland with Tony so much the first time, we wanted to do it again. Linda was great about communicating and set us up with a different experience than we did the first time. We stayed in great hotels along the way, all very convenient to restaurants and bars. Tony was a fantastic guide with just enough information at each location, a great sense of humor, and safe driving skills. We used a 16 passenger bus that was very comfortable even on the longer driving days. It was awesome to never have to worry about driving directions, making plans or finding parking. A highlight of the trip was visiting a castle not on any regular itinerary. One couple in our group had ancestors who once owned a castle that is now ruins in a field near Killkenny. Tony and Linda went out of their way to put this little dot on the map on our tour. I can't recommend Munsterbus enough. This is the only way to travel in Ireland!

Nine days circling rhe island.

This is a great family owned business which we booked for our seven day tour around Ireland. Tony was a very safe driver and you how to maneuver those tight Irish roads and we always felt safe. He also knew where to do great activities and he was very accommodating with a few that we found ourselves but were out of the way. He had a great sense of humor and had a wonderful time driving around Ireland with him. Linda from the start was very punctual with her emails and knew how to put the itinerary together so everything flowed with ease. We were impressed with her tenaciousness in obtaining hotel rooms for one night which was not easy in the busy summer season. Went out of the way to call some of the hotels and confirm our rooms even though it was outside of the time with the tour. We’re always happy to support small businesses who go out of their way to present the best of Ireland to the newcomers like us and made us feel welcome. Overall we had the best time and we walked away with great memories! Slainte!

Wonderful Tour, highly recommend

We had a 3 day tour with Tony at MunsterBus. He was an absolute fantastic guide with many funny stories as well as information about the area we were visiting. We visited so many places in our 3 days and many we likely would not have seen if not for Tony, The Cliffs of less no less. Cathy and Linda were very responsive to emails and helpful in arranging the tour.

Thank you for all the great memories MunsterBus.

Private tour to Galway

Had a private excursion to Galway with a stop each way to break up the drive. Tony was a great driver offering information along the way and had a great sense of humor. It was a long trek- but worth it!

Great private tour from Cobh to Kinsale

We had been planning our trip first in 2020 so between all my questions and emails I knew Munsterbus would be awesome. Linda was wonderful and secured our lunch reservation at Fishy Fishy in Kinsale. The meal was such a treat. Jim, our driver, was wonderful. He was so knowledgeable and gave us good direction for our day's activities. We took a scenic drive and toured Charles Fort. Then we went on to Kinsale for lunch and free time to walk and shop in the town. We had some mobility issues in our group so figured Blarney Castle was not a good idea. Jim suggested taking us to Old Head of Kinsale Golf Club where he could get us in to see the course and go to the club house. We are golfers so it was a treat to see this beautiful exclusive golf course on a peninsula jutting out to sea. We had time for a tour of Cork, (Cobh) on our way back to the ship. We enjoyed our day with Jim and all the lively conversation and will definitely contact Munsterbus if we go back to Ireland. Thanks!
