Ireland is so beautiful. Stay in dublin and visit nearby places. But, don't forget to visit mountains and lakes. There are so many one day tours are available.

Prachtige tour die een hele dag in beslag neemt, maar zeker de moeite waard is! Vertrek vanuit Dublin naar de Wicklow Mountains, via Glendalough naar het Guiness Lake en Avoca.

I would love to give a great review of my tour with Over the Top Tours - however, my attempts to contact Over the Top Tours have gone un-answered.
Emails are not answered, and it's not always practical to phone from the other side of the world due to the time differences.
Their website has very limited functionality, and there is no booking facility.
I'll be booking with another company.

Nous avons fait les 3 tours et chacun était magique. Les guides étaient intéressants, sympathiques, et voulaient partager l'amour de leur pays. Le concept du mini-bus permet de mieux apprécier le pays. On se sent comme de voyageurs et non comme des touristes.

Une visite assez longue, mais avec pleins d'endroits pour ce poser et faire un picnic.
La ballade est vraiment belle, et pas forcément difficile, à faire avec des enfants, certes pas des tout petits non plus, car à un moment sa monte pas mal.
Mais une fois en haut, quelle beauté !!!! Une vue à couper le souffle

My husband and I took the Wicklow Glendalough tour on Saturday, October 3, 2015.
The flyer and website state that the “Max number of passengers per tour is 14/16”. Therefore, we chose this tour because of the small group size. However, there were 19 passengers on our bus. We were the last two people to board and had to sit in the last row of seats. There was only a half window next to me and it was partially covered by a painted design that impaired my view.
The flyer stated that people would be picked up outside the Dublin Tourism Office on Suffolk Street; however the actual stop is out of view of the Tourism Office and around the corner in front of a church. We faithfully waited outside the office wondering what had happened to the tour van until the driver (Tom O’Connell) came looking for us.
As we were in the back of the van we could not hear the driver too well even though the vehicle had a sound system. We suggest that the drivers receive thorough training in its use.
On the positive side, Tom was friendly and always glad to answer our questions. We liked having free time to hike at Glendalough and suggest that more time be allotted for exploration at this location.

Fue uno de los tours que más he disfrutado, con todo siendo de 10. Desde los hermosos paisajes que se visitan, hasta (sobre todo) la amabilidad y la capacidad para contar historias del guía, Seamus. Wicklow es quizá el condado más hermoso de Irlanda y con este tour, visitás algunos de sus más hermosos lugares. El hecho de que el tour es relativamente chico (sólo salimos de a 7 en nuestro caso), le da un toque extra, al poder interactuar con mayor facilidad con el guía y no perderse de nada. Obviamente se precisa entender inglés. No sólo conocés lugares históricos, sino que algo más de la cultura irlandesa, inclusive con algunas historias fantásticas, de mitos, creencias y leyendas populares. Excelente.

We went on the tour of Glendalough and the Wicklow Mountains and really appreciated the small group (we had 13 -- maximum of 15 on this tour), the relaxed atmosphere, the way we spent more time off the bus than on. Our tour guide Michael was exceptionally knowledgeable, fun, and thoughtful. He made sure everyone was comfortable and taken care of. The time we had at beautiful Glendalough was priceless. We were on our own for quite a while and had time to walk around the lakes. We will never forget the peace and beauty of Glendalough. We also appreciated the many scenic stops through the Wicklow Mountains. Mike gave us a great tour -- all in all, it was a terrific day and OverTheTop Tours is highly recommended.

How did you get hold of this tour group company? I've e-mailed them three times and facebook messaged them . . . Their website does not seem to allow booking? They are recommended by Rick Steves and I'd like to use them but am getting frustrated. Thanks!
Is it advisable to book day trips in advance, or will we be able to take these trips any time during our nine days in Dublin this May 2017?
