Beautiful pub with something interesting to look at wherever your eyes go to. Our group stopped in for a pre-dinner drink and had no trouble finding a comfortable table.

Great pub with superb atmosphere and wonderful decor.
Pints of Guinness were top notch and the night we were there, the music was superb - a great guitarist who had the crowd rocking.
Can't wait to get back there.

Went to O'Connors Bar twice during our stay in Salthill - loved it. Great (but v different) musicians both times we visited. Very eclectic decor - if you are a clean freak it would probably not be your cup of tea. Would have been happy to stay all night people wathcing and listening to the very fine tunes,

We obviously had to go to the pub where Ed Sheeran filmed the Galway Girl music video, and we’re glad we did. It was a quick bus ride from the Latin Quarter but you can easily walk it as well. There were a lot of seats inside and they had live music with a really great singer. Credit cards and cash accepted. The atmosphere was casual and the decor was fun. The crowd was varied in ages and the overall scene seemed to be a mix of tourists and locals.

Questo è un posto assolutamente da visitare se sei a Galway. Un pub in cui si respira tutta la tradizione irlandese. Musica live veramente fantastica, Guinness favolosa, clienti rapiti da un contesto spettacolare. Potrei scrivere ancora tanto, ma se non lo si vive è tutto relativo. Fantastico!!!!

Old style pub ...... lots of quirky decorations, sawdust on the floor.
Friendly staff .... one of them was the owner's son.
It was a rainy Monday night in November, so no music or craic, but I bet this place is lively in summer !

Great local Pub and of course home to Galway Girl recording by Ed Sheeran. Great value drinks, attentive bar staff. Mix and mingle with everyone enjoying themselves.

Ich war ja skeptisch, als ich las, dass das Pub im Ed Sheeran-Video eine Rolle spielte und recht viele Kommentare im Netz sich darauf bezogen. Ich befürchtete so eine Art Touri-Falle oder Ähnliches...
Weit gefehlt: Das O'Connor's (mit Apostroph!) ist einfach urig, kultig, ein wirklich besonderes Pub, das sich gar nicht viel auf die neue Medienpräsenz einzubilden scheint. Die Preise fürs Bier sind absolut zivil, es gibt Live-Musik, während man an alten Nähmaschinen-Tischchen unter Fischernetzen mit Muscheln, alten Kannen, Töpfen, Wagenrädern sitzt. Etwas skurril und sehr kultig.

Fantastic beef stew. We were on a tour with 30+ people and this was the best meal the trip. Terrific service.
Getting off the bus, we were greeted by the sweetest little boy waving out the upstairs window. When we found out he was part of a group of 36 Ukrainian refugees that the owners were housing, we were even more impressed.

hi there ....was just wondering if the owner of the pub was related to the Mary O'Connor who married James Lennon and immigrated to Australia in 1836....she was my husbands gr gr gr grandmother and we just found out that there was a pub still in the family.....would be great to drop in for a beer if ever we visit..thank you .....Anna Lennon

Hi Anna, The best people to answer this question for you would be Tom & Frank O'Connor of O'Connor's Pub in Salthill, Galway.
There are however, more than one O'Connor's Pub in Ireland, which may be a stumbling block to getting the answers you want.

My children went in early evening. I would probably avoid it later on and it gets quite busy and drunken!
