In reply to your comments: Our menu is posted at 3 locations in and around our café so the prices cannot have been a surprise. The price of our handmade pottery reflects the many painstaking processes that it takes to produce it; the seconds pottery is sold at 16% discount with special items in the seconds area cheaper again. We do not apologise for our prices as they reflect the artisan skills involved but we do understand it doesn’t suit everyone’s budget. I apologise for the smells in our bathroom on the day in question, we do provide air fresheners for customers to use but understandably it gets busy and we manage it as best as we can.

At Nicholas Mosse we appreciate the trouble you have taken in writing your review, thank you for your observations. We strive to enforce our shop policy on mask wearing and we have requested that our staff be more vigilant with customers who are removing them after entry to the store. During busy times our limited staff numbers have been occupied with their general duties but we must try harder to keep Nicholas Mosse shop and it’s customers and staff safe and healthy. We were short staffed but have recently sorted that issue so there are more staff members to assist customers and monitor the mask wearing in all locations, not just at the point of entry and tills. We are not using this as an excuse but merely offering it towards an explanation. I am sorry that we were not at our best on the day you visited but I hope you will visit again soon and that we will show ourselves to be as you have come to expect at Nicholas Mosse.

Due to the ongoing government regulations limiting the numbers in the shop at any one time we have reduced the cafe offering and have advertised this fact. We are very sorry that you were unaware of our current limited selection and we will be slowly returning to our pre-pandemic menu in the coming months. Thank you.

Thank you for your comments. Both the production of our handmade pottery and the shipping department have been greatly affected my by Covid-19 pandemic restrictions. We apologise for this delay and we are striving hard to return to normal.

Our food is all prepared using ovens and though we know microwaving would be faster we refuse to compromise the quality our customers expect from us.
