nice trip here in Feb. First day of train re opening which was nice ride through the woods. All in all a great surprise and well worth a visit.

The food is delicious and staff go out of their way to be kind and helpful. My friends and I have mobility difficulties and staff go over and beyond to help us.We feel valued and welcomed. Definitely will keep coming back.

Had heard so much about the lido especially being on the end of the Piccadilly Line. We were pleasantly surprised at how lovely it was. The venue has everything - swimming (although signs say you must not), cafe, playground, pirate ship, beach and a train. It was busy but not over-crowded. The people visiting were diverse which was encouraging. We drove in the end but buses run to the lido from both Ruislip stations. Parking is reasonable, £5 all day. Great place for families. Highly recommend.

Filthy water....drug dealers....packed beach....traffic wardens. But its free. This is not a nice place to come in summer. It takes hours to clear the mess up after the visitors leave. The woods behind are used as toilets.

Absolutely filthy water and toilets. ..seriously ! I drove one hour to get into this muddy puddle.

I've been coming here for 40 years and it's a great place for everything my grandchildren love it the only thing I would say is the splash park needs cleaning it had algae on the floor which made it smelly and dangerous as some kids were falling over

I took three children here today (12, 12 and 14). When we arrived at 1pm, we were kindly shown where to park by a man in a hi-vis which was helpful, especially after reading the reviews on here. There were a couple of free spaces.
I hadn't been to the Lido for a few years and was somewhat surprised to be told it was a £5 minimum charge for 5 hours parking! (We aren't Hillingdon residents).
It was a hot day and, understandably, very crowded. Plenty of people in the water and swimming despite red flags warning against it as no lifeguards. The splash park part was heaving (dangerously so) and grown men were on the crowded children's playground equipment. Lots of signs were displayed about the dangers of algae in the water.
I personally feel Ruislip Lido is more suited to toddlers/younger children and the parking price is a massive turn off.

a nice place to go with kids and dogs. there's a shop there if you want to buy food and drinks. 1h tube from central london.

Too many people are being allowed in. The water is a scummy algae coated swamp and how anyone would let their children into the water is beyond belief. Car parking is a nightmare and I feel so sorry for local residents who have to put up with people parking ad hoc anywhere they can.

While the beach area and water splash are closed there is vast areas of the woods either side of the actual Lido to explore. Great for walks with or without dogs. As it is large it is easy to socially distance from other visitors.

how do you get there from uxbridge using public transport
Take the Eastbound train heading towards Baker Street and Aldgate. Then get off at Ruislip. From Ruislip Station, take the H13 bus and get off at the Ruislip Lido stop.

Hello you do not need to pay to get in, you do have to pay for the train ride, I believe. And also bring some money for food there is a cafe on the beach side, and the entrance side has a nice pub that also does food.

Car parks fill up quickly and it costs £5 if you are not a Hillingdon resident. If you park in the surrounding roads your car will be towed away.
Is the splash pad open during the week or only at weekends? I'd like to take the kids after school if possible.
