Nick was a great tour guide! He went the extra mile and met us at our train, walked with us to our hotel with my luggage, then guided us through all the interesting sights in York. We saw the city from Roman times to modern days. He was very helpful as we explore York Minster. Thanks, Nick.

Nick is great. He was thrown a "curve ball" when he picked us up. We were scheduled to be driven to Yorkshire with a tour of Belton House on the way. My wife had fallen the night before and we asked if he could get us to a clinic for help. Nick recommended the Harrogate Hospital. Not only did he take us there but he took charge as our advocate. Nick stayed with us throughout the process and only went to dinner at our insistance. As the evening wore on he took me to the hotal to check in and to have a sandwich which I later split with our patient. He then drove me to the hospital to bring my wife back to the hotel in an arm cast.
The next day he arrived and, given the circumstances, we discussed revising our schedule. He really listened to us and therefore understood our situation (broken arm) as well as what we needed. We arrainged to be close to Harrogate and available for follow up visits with the hospital. We had excellent tours which we enjoyed through all of this. When it was time to drive us to our next destination he collaborated with our next guide and brought him up to date on our situation as well as what he had learned. We took a lovely route and enjoyed the scenery and his commentary.
Nick is very knowledable and we learned a lot about the area around York and beyond. He alo is a lot of fun. We highly recommend Yortours and Nick. He's the best!

I'm so sorry that your vacation was interrupted by a necessary 4 visits to hospital; however your certainly were well looked after; and dare I say that my own volunteering in said hospital did smooth the journeys for you both ! You never complained; despite the obvious pain and discomfort; in fact "model" clients. I'm so pleased that you enjoyed each and every tour experience; albeit adjusted each day! We can’t speak highly enough about Nick Smith of YorTours! The time he spent with us planning our trip to the Yorkshire Dales and the advice he provided regarding the logistics of traveling throughout the region were invaluable. We thoroughly enjoyed spending a full day with Nick and were so impressed by his local knowledge and his understanding of what places we were interested in visiting. And to top it all off, he gave us a goody bag filled with local products! On a scale of 1-5, we give Nick a 6!

We did two stints with Nick. The first was a half day tour of the incredible York Minster. Fabulous insight with a great contextual frame all of which made our experience of York all that more enlightening.
We spent our second day driving with Nick and exploring the Yorkshire Dayles. Such beautiful country. Great commentary and a historical overview made for an entertaining and engaging day.

what an absolute pleasure to host your 5 days we spent together, from your early hours arrival at Manchester Airport until your sad departure to London then home. With Liverpool, the Lake District and Yorkshire in between on tour. Your genuine interest made my task that much easier to share so much more with you both. My husband and I grew up loving All Creatures Great and Small, which originally aired in the late 70's, so visiting the land of Siegfried and Tristan was a given. And this tour did not disappoint. Well before we toured the Yorkshire Dales, Nick was an amazing resource providing us with guidance on where to stay (The Wheatsheaf in Carperby, a classic local pub), as well as sights and restaurants to visit in York, always answering our questions promptly.
As for our actual day trip to the dales, wow! Nick is a wealth of information and extremely knowledgeable about All Creatures, the set locations and even the tiniest details about the show.
Of course, even if you have never heard of ACG&S, I highly recommend spending time with Nick on any one of his tours...but only if you want someone who will be on time, knowledgeable, courteous, and go the extra mile to ensure a fabulous tour.
As for our actual day trip to the dales, wow! Nick is a wealth of information and extremely knowledgeable about All Creatures, the set locations and even the tiniest details about the show.

Nick was an amazing guide during our first trip to York and the Yorkshire countryside. His knowledge is deep and he is engaging. Most of all, he made us feel like friends he was just showing around. Nick left us with a fun bag of local goodies and an afternoon of great memories. Highly recommended if you are heading to Yorkshire or the surrounding area. Thanks, Nick!

Our tour of the Yorkshire Dales with Nick was our favorite tour of our 2 weeks in the UK! We are a family of 5 with 3 teens and our entire group had a fantastic time!
Nick was so friendly and conversational. He showed us villages, landscapes, and attractions in the Dales that we could have never found on our own. He showed us so many spots from the filming of All Creatures Great and Small. He had first hand information about the filming of the show and made us feel like we had a behind the scenes peek into the set!
Nicks set up is first class - a luxury van for our family, waters, charging cords, a goody bag just loaded with gifts from the area…. Just everything we could need for a day of driving.
Highly recommend. It was the highlight of our trip!
