First time paddleboarder, a little bit apprehensive but instructor Sam was excellent and I was gliding up and down the river in no time, unlike my friend Ash who kept falling in. (There would be an accompanying photo but I seem to be having an issue uploading pictures to this website).
The equipment was top notch, as was the instruction and I can't recommend it highly enough. It's a brilliant way to spend a few hours.
The only downside was that upon arriving I found myself ion the wrong side of the river but that's more because I'm an idiot than anything else! Other than that minor hiccup, I had a fantastic afternoon and can't wait to get back there and have another go!

I booked a SUP Adventure for a group of 5 friends and it was fantastic. We had a mixed group, some of us with our own boards and some that required hire boards which was no problem at all. We met our guide (Connor) at the agreed location on time and he was an excellent host making sure that everyone was happy before we set off. The weather was excellent and the trip was so much fun, particularly enjoyed the narrow section down the Avon on the way back to the Lower Lode Inn.

We had a brilliant time with SUP Gloucester last weekend. Communication beforehand was great, even when a festival at the Inn meant we had meet on the opposite bank to normal, the team let us know in plenty of time and we found the location no problem. Our instructor Connor put at ease and we were standing on the boards within 10 minutes. The 2 hour lesson was the perfect amount of time to learn the basics and have a laugh. I completely recommend, great value for money as you get all the kit and proper instruction.

It was my first time SUP ever but my 14 y/o daughter has done it a few times before.
Dev immediately put me at my ease and I was standing up in a matter of minutes! I was also first DOWN but thankfully, somehow, I managed to stay ON the board.
We had great fun. Dev was informative, interesting and funny, it was an absolute joy spending two hours on the river with him and we had lots of laughs. He had my daughter doing head stands and splits on her board and we played a game at the end.
Both my daughter and I ended up fully submerged in the last five minutes but we had such a giggle I don’t think either of us cared.

Sam and Dev from SUP Gloucester for my sister's hen do and we had a fab time. Perfect mix of instruction, chill time and organised fun and games. All of the admin side was also v easy and the price was competitive. Would recommend to everyone!

Fantastic session - I booked this for our local canicross running club approx 30 people - for some summer fun, this was our second out of three sessions everyone had the best time, fun games, lots of skills and safety, but also everything was done within everyone’s comfort zone. Everyone has definitely caught the bug for Paddleboarding now!

What an absolute success!!
If you can swim then i would definitely recommend. No experience needed as Matt will tell you everything you need to know in about 5 mins.
We had a total blast - give it a go Matt is fantastic and the children have already asked to do it again.
So relaxing and nice to reconnect.
I consider that to be a win to me 😊

I went with 3 kids (ages 10-13) on a trip from the Lower Lode Inn in early May - a gorgeous spot and paddling along the river was beautiful! We had all had a couple of tries paddle- boarding before but Matt was very patient and relaxed, so I would recommend it for complete beginners too. We travelled up and down the Severn, and on the way back Matt got the kids playing around with a war game that they loved, included a lot of splashing and jumping in....I stayed above the fray and enjoyed a peaceful paddle out of range! Going through the lock was really fun! Highly recommend!
