We did the zombie escape room with our two eldest (aged 11 and 14). Some of it was really hard but the member of staff (who was lovely) gave us clues via a screen when we needed them. We all had loads of fun and managed to escape the room just in time! It was very cool and was all well thought through. My only criticism is that a couple of the props need replacing - the liquid containing bottles had loose lids and the colours had faded on one of the props matching up two of the clues which meant it looked a different colour and we couldn't solve it. But this was minor in an overall great experience.

Many tech issues in the room. Staff had to come in and out to try and fix stuff, and it still didn’t work. Totally spoilt the experience. Ended up having to abort the game. Assumed we would get our money back no issues, as we’d paid for a service they had failed to provide. Manager - Nick - advised to send me his bank details and he’d sort it. When the refund didn’t come through, I was then told he was launching an investigation into the room, which would take 28 days. Totally unnecessary- his poor staff members had suffered the discomfort of trying to host/fix the whole thing and could easily have explained to him just how much had gone wrong, but he obviously wanted to be difficult. Waited patiently for 28 days and still refund never came through, despite chasing. Nick said it was a shame we had left a bad review - we hadn’t left a bad review at that point. Obviously not the only ones to experience faults in the room. Clearly no intention to ever refund. Please don’t give this man your money - we feel we have been conned. He does not deserve your business. His manner was terribly rude - I have the emails which I am willing to share publicly.

I arrived excited to take on the Alien escape room with 3 friends, only to be told the room was closed. This was especially disappointing as two of my friends had already completed all of their other rooms.
After the young man running the challenge called his manager, he stated he could reset the room and we could in fact take on the Alien challenge - great!…….
Unfortunately that was the highlight of the evening.
The room(s) simply did not work……at all.
They rely heavily on tech such as lasers and electromagnets. None of these were functioning correctly. The lasers could not be reset despite numerous attempts by the staff member. Eventually we were told to skip that part.
Disappointed, we moved to the final room where card readers failed to work, magnets were failing and prematurely releasing clues and hatches were opening before they should.
On several occasions the clues were reset by staff - only to fail again…..and again.
We disappointingly called time on the room and asked for a refund. The young man running the event (who was actually very helpful and a little embarrased) then called his manager who spoke to one of our team members. He said he would look into it after a 28 day “investigation”.
After my friend emailed the manager the following Monday, he stated that we had left a bad review before he could investigate (we hadn’t at this point) and has since failed to refund us for a rubbish experience.
I’m guessing that another team of players had a similar experience and left a bed review and he was referring to this.
Good points:
Polite and understanding member of staff on the night.
Bad points:
Room did not work - at all.
The “bar” (a fridge) was empty so drinks could not be purchased.
Waiting room was cold.
Dishonest and unprofessional manager/owner.
Total waste of time and money.
Would have considered returning if the room could be fixed but after being refused a rightful refund for something that was sold to us but was unfit for purpose, will never give this person/business my money again.

Hugely disappointed and terrible customer service.
My husband and two friends and I played the Alien escape room in January.
When we arrived the staff member told us that unfortunately the Alien room wasn’t working and would we be happy to play the Zombie room. I stated I’d already played the Zombie room and we enquired as to what was wrong with Alien.
He said it was the CCTV in the room- that he wouldn’t be able to hear us asking for clues. On confirming the cameras still worked we said that’s fine we will just wave at the camera if we need you!
He said he was going to check with the owner who wasn’t present and see if he could fiddle with the camera and see if he could get it working.
He came back 5 minutes later and said it was all fixed. Now we know it was obvious that he didn’t want us playing Alien as he knew it was all broken.
We played the first 10 minutes- everything was fine and then we had to navigate a corridor of lasers. They wouldnt reset and the alarm kept blaring at us every 10 seconds.
The staff member came in about 4 times trying to stop the alarm before he just turned them all off and we walked to the next part of the room- pretty dismal.
Then it just got worse.
Nothing worked. All the magnets in the room
Kept unlocking- things were falling down before we were meant to find them- panels were hanging off the wall, cards we were meant to swipe weren’t working- the staff members came in 5 or so times to try and reset things before we eventually called time on it and walked out. It was terrible not to be able to play a decent game.
The staff members admitted they hated running that room as everything was always breaking- something the owner was well aware of.
We quite rightly asked for a refund and were told they would ring the owner,
When he handed the phone to us the owner asked us to list everything that went wrong.
We pointed out that his staff member would be able to more accurately let him know all the clues that didn’t work and we agreed to send him an email on the Monday so he could arrange a refund.
When we emailed on Monday he denied all knowledge of agreeing to a refund and even stated it’s a shame we had jumped the gun and left a bad review on trip advisor as that made him less inclined to give us a refund!!!!
Firstly you can’t hold customers to ransom and refuse a legitimate refund because they left a bad review and secondly IT WASNT OUR REVIEW! Ironically someone else had played the broken alien game the day before us and left a bad review!
The owner said he would launch an “investigation” which could take 28 days and would get back to us with the findings! Not sure how independent that investigation was and being that all he had to do was check with his staff members not sure why it would take 28 days. But none the less we waited patiently and emailed over 28 days later- only to be ignored! We’ve emailed multiple times and still no reply.
Absolutely shocking service - to knowingly allow people to pay for a defective room and then keep the money is a massive red flag of a scam.
Don’t give this crook your money.

Great fun, a real challenge to solve, staff went to every effort to make sure we had the best experience and even checked we were okay when youngest got a bit over excited.

We had an incredible time! The staff were amazing, creating a fantastic experience. The puzzles were challenging and engaging. Can't wait to return for another room – highly recommended!

A great way to spend time with friends! We had a lot of fun, just the right level of challenge. I would definitely recommend it to others.

A group of us did the Alien Abduction Escape Room. Although we enjoyed ourselves, so many things didn’t work properly or fell apart. Our guide had to came in at least 6 times to sort out broken parts which quite spoilt the experience. He didn’t offer to pause the timer whilst he sorted out the problem which was frustrating. At the end I was advised to email in to secure some sort of compensation (ideally another game as I really wanted to have a positive experience) but I’ve not heard back.
Very disappointed, we’d have come back to try the other rooms if we’d have felt valued.

Our room master knew exactly what clues to give us and when to give them without us even asking because we were too proud! Amazing experience!

Our first visit to a Trapped Escape Room and we loved it.
We tried 'The Butcher' and even though we were pretty rubbish and didn't manage to escape, we all really enjoyed the experience and had fun. The room was well set up with props and we were impressed by the detail involved.
Our host Patrick was lovely, friendly and helpful.
Will definitely be visiting again.

Hi can anyone tell me if any of the 3 rooms are quite small, we have a couple in our group that can get a little claustrophobic! I've done lots of rooms throughout the country and abroad and none have seemed overly small. We are hoping to do this as a team builder for work be xmas. Thanks

Rooms are large in size, and you are not really locked in anywhere, as there are emergency exit buttons on every door. Lots of claustrophobic people have played and been fine :-)

Without spoilers, does the Haunted House have a variety of different puzzles? One of the reviews saying it was 'mostly padlocks' worried me. I'm coming with six adults that are quite puzzle minded, so we're looking for something that will keep everyone entertained / something with variety and some real problem solving, challenges. The one I did abroad before had photos to put in different orders, and key mazes and all manner of things. Without spoilers, I'm wondering if anyone that has done the Haunted Hotel room, could comment? (Note: One of the group has already done Prison Break, so that's out. I would say we'd do the Hangover, but the concept doesn't appeal).

Hi, the haunted house definitely has a variety of puzzles as does the hangover. The room in my opinion is not padlock heavy and everyone has had great fun and no one else has complained about the padlocks. Hope this helps

While there is no limit on age, we recommend that children 12 and over play as the puzzles will be too demanding for those younger. You know your child the best so we let younger ones in if the parents think they can cope. (Please note, all under 16's must be accompanied by an adult over 18)
