Scruffy, Tacky, dirty pub best to avoid as we definitely did as talented, educated, highly presentable, prosperous citizens did for sitting on their seats outside pub on public road which we are fully entitled to do. We would never have gone in or spend money there !

Visiting Gloucester on a Saturday so popped in for a drink. Interesting and quirky place. Good music in background (1980s alternative when we were there). Good choice of real ales, and ciders (proper ones in boxes). Friendly barman and regulars. Pub has changed location recently, so some photos are out of date.

Well I have been a regular visitor to Gloucester since 1985, but I always thought this place was some "trendy wine bar" or the like!
Well it isn't! Had a closer look walking down Southgate and actually found it's a high quality pub with excellent Real Ales and Ciders! Absolutely loved it and the fact it is "Cash Only" makes it even better!
Wish it was open on a Sunday though!

How have I not found this before?? It'll be a must on future visits to Castle Grim (the fortress Kingsholm 🏉).
What a fantastic little pub. Single orchard, house speciality cider (both the dry & the medium are excellent). Gravity fed ales, a veritable multitude of box ciders, lists of rules & no **** which all pubs would be better adopting.
Wait! What am I saying??? You'll all want to go there!!

When I travel from Canada to visit my family in Gloucester, my brother and I usually drop in several times. It’s become a lovely habit, the staff are friendly and actually remember me... great craft beers and unspoilt pub atmosphere. I recommend it!

We always call in for a drink or two when we are in town. Great range of beer and cider, friendly atmosphere. Great staff and customers and board games too! Worth a visit

One of my favourite pubs. Always friendly people in there, beer is well kept and straight from the barrel. Loads of ciders but not tried em yet.

What a great pub! Great interior with the craft beer logos on the wall. Great selection of beers and ciders. The barman was very informative about the beers too!

Cracking micro-pub in the Town Centre for decent beers and ciders.
Beers straight from the cask, a mix of local and further afield.
Humourous signs and quirky decor and ornaments add to the comfortable atmosphere.
Will absolutely visit again when in town.

Went with my dad who loves cider, this pub had the best cider selection we have ever seen! Small pub, friendly staff and comfortable environment. Amazing selection of beers and ales so something for everyone. Highly recommended for all!
