Went on the brewery tour and can’t praise it enough. Our guide Trevor gave us a great tour, covering history of beer as well as Gloucester Brewery in particular including their passion for sustainability. This was followed by a superb tasting of many of the beers. I learnt so much about beer - and all delivered in an entertaining manner. All in all - a great evening and highly recommend.

Not for me, I'm afraid. Pricey beer. I'm also not a fan of craft beers. Re-inventing the wheel in my opinion. But then perhaps I'm in the wrong demographic. The self service is a great idea once you get to know how to use it. But if you have 30 or 40 pence left on a card and it's not enough to pay for a minimum 1/3 pint, then you will have to either forfeit that money or use it next time you come. I used a similar self service in Spain and you could pour yourself 10 pence worth of beer if that was the credit you had. I've been here twice and both times I have encountered unhelpful/rude staff. Not all of them but one or two individuals. I wouldn't rule out coming back but there are other other pubs I would opt for before this. Having said all this, it seems a thriving local business and I wish them all the best.

I was brought a tour of Gloucester Brewery as a present by a friend.
With it starting at 6.30 my wife and I thought we’d have a preview of their beer and went to The Tank another of their venues beforehand for a bite to eat. Pizza there was superb and the service was excellent.
We made our way over to Warehouse 4 where we were met by Trevor our host and guide for the night. As the group all arrived our welcome drink for the tour, a pint of Gloucester Gold slipped down nicely. The tour commenced and we were taken to the heart of the brewery where Trevor provided and engaging overview of the transformation of water with the different applications of hops, malt and yeast produced the beers made by Gloucester Brewery. Once we knew how it was made and the history behind beer making generally and Gloucester brewery in particular we were shown how it was tinned and cashed. Then the tasting recommenced taking us through another 5 of Gloucester Brewery beers including their award winning lager, all matched by a cheese and biscuits.
To top it off we were given a discount for purchases on the night and left with beers and some Foxes Kiln gin.
There’s no doubt we will be back for more especially with the range of events hosted in Warehouse 4 that are coming through thick and fast now we are following on social media.

Fantastic tour of the brewery. Our guide Trevor was knowledgeable and passionate about the brilliant products. Lots of information, insights and samples. Highly recommend a visit.

Guess we must have missed something - walked into a cold soulless room with couple people watching TV.
No staff to welcome.
Some sort of self-service machine to serve yourself but that said you had to buy a card from the bar to use. All seemed a bit unnecessary and expensive :(
Beers I would have drunk were also not available.
Hat and coat back on and we left so can't comment any more.
Reviews seem to make it look worthwhile but couldn't see it ourselves.

Took part in the gin tasting experience here and the whole thing was excellent. Jan was fun and knowledgeable, the gins were superb and the food and atmosphere spot on.

Thoroughly enjoyed our Brewery Tour, with Trevor, who provided an entertaining and informative run down on the workings of the brewery, the passion for sustainability and the superb range of beers (and lager!). Tasting afterwards was carefully curated, paired well with cheeses and fun. Would highly recommend.

Didn’t go on a brewery tour as we were attending a private party in the bar. Interesting urban decor and flashy but complicated self service taps. However, as good as the beer was, £14 for a pint of IPA and a large glass of mediocre Pinot is a rip off. Wetherspoons is a 3 minute walk away and half the price.

I must admit that I have not left a review on this app for a few years now, not because I lost interest, but because I could not find anything worth the bother.
Tonight, this changed.
Being a new “let’s find something local and not rely on the big boys” kind of guy, I can seriously suggest you book the brewery tour at least.
Should you have the pleasure of Trevor’s company ( don’t ask for Simon), he will enlighten you on almost everything you need to know about ale or lager.
We had a cracking tour today, the beer was awesome and the food and company were second to none.

No, we are closed over Christmas and and New Year, tours resume as normal in January.
