The show was brilliant. Enjoyed singing along with many of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons hits and loved the banter/comedy between them as they introduced the songs.

Went to see The Lost Spells over Easter weekend. A very good show with excellent singing , story a bit twee but good for Easter period. Its a shame it was only half full no one sitting next to us .
The theatre is lovely but whoever picks the plays shown needs to pick some more main stream acts / shows it would be so much more attended. I would love to go more but not much on which appeals sadly.
Hoorah the coffee machine was working.

Went on 11th to Merchant. Had some questions, the girl on box office was very informative and also gave us details regarding the play which we were not aware of. Informative staff. Would attend other performances based on this.

I went to see The merchant of venice 1936. The show itself was very good and well-acted and executed.
Though the overall theatre experience was weak.
The staff appeared a bit timid and inattentive. They didn't seem to know where things were, or were unaware of basic layouts and waypoints in their own establishment, such as the toilets or the bar.
One such staff member , in the middle of a dark auditorium one must say where I couldn't initially see him said "DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOU'RE SITTING??!" out of the blue. No "hello, sir, do you need any help?" or "hello, sir, can I guide you to your seat or are you OK?" He made an assumption that I was lost, when I wasn't, and could find my own way.
The bar staff, amidst many people talking, were also very quietly spoken, and I felt bad and having nearly to shout to understand them and them understand me.
And the disabled toilet was on the ground floor, and after a person had used it, the smell shall we say was intolerable, and no staff member could have at least closed the door.
The theatre itself is well-designed and laid out, and has lots of top shows on like this one. But the staff needs training, or at least to be more empathetic to their customers.

Visited this theatre after many years on Saturday 21st January to see a tribute band called Queen Rhapsody. Extremely disappointed in the performance, so much so we left at the interval together with the couple who were sat next to us. We have seen better performances in a pub! We will not be returning to WPT if this is a sample of their standard of entertainment!

This was our first theatre visit in a couple of years. It was great to experience live theatre again.
As usual, Watford Palace Theatre put on a high quality performance. Although Dick Whittington is not our favourite panto, we all really enjoyed the show. It was a happy, uplifting performance.
We sat in a box (being a bit anti-social at the moment!) - a new experience for us. Even though I chose to sit well back, I managed to see a lot of the stage. And the seats were fine. For some reason, I'd thought they would be plastic chairs!
We have no hesitation recommending this Watford panto. Visiting the plush main theatre is a feel-good experience, but you could also watch the show online if you prefer.

Went for a pre-mothers day afternoon tea with the family. Great selection of sandwiches and cakes which were fresh and of a high standard. Unlimited tea/coffee and really helpful and attentive staff. You wont leave hungry either....

The Palace theatre in Watford has just started to offer afternoon tea. The food is superb, fresh and plentiful and the service was excellent. I really recommend it.

Really enjoyed this well presented prodjucton of Sleeping Beauty. Really entertaining laugh out loud moments from start to finish. A lovely Adaptation for the stage. Highly recommend seeing before it closes in January 2020.👍🏻

As with previous years I really enjoyed the pantomime. It was full of the usual humour with some aimed at children and some just for the grown ups. Although not the usual Dame he was still very good

Is the seating tiered in the stalls?

As far as I can remember, it's slightly tiered in the stalls. I've never had any problem seeing the stage. (Upstairs it's definitely steeper.)
You might want to check with the box office re. seating if you need more info, as they are very helpful.

Does this Theatre perform plays or is it just a tour?

The palace theatre performs a variety of plays, pantomime every December, films, and also links with London theatres to show live performances from London. Last year I saw a wonderful performance of "A street car named desire" starring Gillian Anderson. This was beamed from the Young Vic theatre in London. Hope this helps.
