Absolute shambles! Pre-booked and then told when arriving it would be a 3 hour wait to get to play!? Sorry what????? So loud in there you can't hear yourself think, rude staff, I wouldn't bother!!! X

Waited over an hour for a game in a queue then got pushed to the back of the queue - trying to resolve the issue and the “receptionist” walked away. awful customer service - spent over £120 as a group only to get pushed back and back, told I would complain and they said to go ahead - no compensation given due to the push back

Awful service. You wait for hours to get a bay and they won’t give you any idea how long your wait will be from 10 mins to 2 hours.
The drinks we ordered took 25 mins to arrive. We won’t be returning.

I was excited to take my young family for a surprise day out. I booked up in advance to make sure we secured a spot. The online booking showed that a walk in round is £27, however a ‘fast track’ is available for £39. In Order to avoid disappointment I went for that.
So, I set about booking, routed via some third party app called sevenrooms. Immediately I got confused it says “: Games and memberships are not included with the purchase of individual Fast Track purchases. They must be purchased at the venue when you arrive. Adventure Golf Bookings include rounds as standard for your chosen group”
I read it a couple of times, it sounded a bit weird “games” not included, but I presumed they were describing the other games on site (putting, arcades etc), i mean, there is no way you could be paying 30% more than standard price and not get a game . Right ?..
Wrong. That is the price to jump the queue only.
So we were asked to pay £27 more to play on arrival.
The staff were ill equipped to deal with the inevitable friction and customer dissatisfaction this causes (and clearly causes day in day out)
I tried to cancel on the app, it told me to phone the venue ! I went to check again with the guy behind the desk. I showed him the message “is this the number of this venue?” I asked .. “I dont know you can go and check the internet “ was his reply, I could see he had made a decision to take a confrontational approach. I asked for his supervisor, who arrived promptly, she tried to explain that we would have to ring the booking company tomorrow and see if they would refund. I asked if there was anything she could do to swap our priority pass for a standard game, but she said she could not. I asked if there was a supervisor who could make that decision. So finally I spoke to her boss, who explained to me that the price was actually to skip a two hour queue which had 72 people in it. Finally! someone who could explain the actual issue.. the lack of clear communication on what you are paying for with a fast track. Ring a decent fellow he could see this was an innocent mistake and the anguish caused. He issued us with standard game and said we would have to queue but he may be able to move us up. He did his best and I appreciated it.
We went to queue up, oh dear, the lady managing the queue was not schooled in customer care. I guess she was dealing with frustration and disappointment with weekend queue length and had turned a little steely. But saying “it’s quite clear when you book that you don’t get to play for the price” and then “I’ve not been told about moving you up the queue”. I mean, honestly, just book us in and pretend you empathise!
This antagonistic and patronising approach, plus the prospect to remain in a queue for an unknown length of time possibly several hours, meant we decided to leave.
So with no way to cancel, We left, my son and wife in tears, £40 plus fuel worse off.
If the price for a booked in advance round is £67 for a family.. just say so on the website in bold clear writing! And empower you staff to refund fast tracks. Pretty simple.

Came back here with the family after enjoying Top golf when I was younger.
We just had a great time, only had to wait for 15 mins for a bay and it was buy one get one free so an added bonus.
All the staff were really friendly and helpful.
We also played the adventure golf which we enjoyed.

I am utterly appalled by my recent experience at Topgolf. Having journeyed for hours with four friends, I was shocked to discover that, despite our party consisting of five individuals, I was refused entry even as a non-player. The staff were not only unaccommodating but also exceedingly rude, showing a complete lack of basic customer service.
The rules enforced at this establishment are nothing short of absurd. It is beyond comprehension why a group of friends cannot enjoy the facility together. This debacle resulted in a wasted day and a significant amount of frustration.
Topgolf's disregard for its patrons is evident, and I am deeply disappointed by the treatment we received. I urge others to reconsider before wasting their time and effort on such an unwelcoming venue.

Writing this review as I sit with my family, in our 3rd hour of waiting for a bay. We have moved 2 positions down so far.
After speaking with the staff, who are very friendly, we now know that there are multiple events booked out and could be waiting a minimum of 5hrs. We have already driven an hour to get here.
Had we been told this at the start, we would have opted for the crazy golf. Instead we have spent £52 on overpriced food, and will still no closer to getting a bay.
We've come here quite a few times before and havr absolutely loved it! We appreciate that you have to wait but this is ridiculous. Watching people in the bays literally just sit and eat rather than playing is extremely frustrating.

Taarik (duty manager Watford branch ) single handed saved my sons 11th birthday nothing was too much trouble even sent a little birthday cake free of charge fantastic customer service made a little boy very happy thanks again

As a parent who recently hosted a birthday party for my son at Topgolf Watford, I am extremely disappointed with the experience and feel compelled to share my dissatisfaction.
The time slot allocated for us was from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., but at 2:30 p.m., staff abruptly ended the game and asked the kids to leave the place without even informing the parents.
The staff seemed uninterested, lacked enthusiasm, and were very rude. They appeared to be going through the motions rather than actively engaging with the children and ensuring they had a memorable experience. It was evident that customer service was not a priority.
The menu was limited, and there was a lack of variety to accommodate different dietary preferences.
Overall, I would not recommend Topgolf Watford for hosting children's birthday parties. The lack of organisation and poor customer service make it a regrettable choice for such special occasions. Save yourself the hassle and consider alternative venues that prioritise customer satisfaction and provide a more enjoyable experience for children.

You can book as the wait can be quite long sometimes, especially during weekends and holiday season.

Do you know if the "Under 18s must finish their experience before 8pm rule" is only for Friday and Saturday, or the whole week!

As far as Im aware, it is for every night. Under 18 must be out by 8pm. Not sure why, I understand its something to do with the premises having a licence but 8pm is too early in my opinion.

Do you have to know how to swing a golf stick properly? Or is this more crazy golf standard?

No you don't have to be a pro, it's just for fun. Some people who are great at golf go but it's for all skill levels really, I'm certainly not the best that's for sure and it's still fun.
