A stunning church full of history and a lavish interior, with the added bonus of a scenic Spire Climb of the UK's 3rd tallest spire. Everyone well looked after and very informative. An architectural masterpiece, the likes of which will never be built again.

Me and my husband went on the Spire at Night tour. We went up the spire (its the tallest in England) then afterwards when we were back on ground level, we got a talk about the rest of the church building. We also got certificates to say we had been up the spire and there was tea and mini millionaires shortbread. The stairs up the spire were a bit tiring as you can imagine with it being so tall, and it is a little bit claustrophobic as you can also probably imagine. Up there it was really windy, which was scary. The view was amazing but I only took short glances at it and then went to the slightly more sheltered bit. I was glad when we were back on the ground but I was also really glad we went up there. I see the church often, but I've never actually been in it, nevermind up the spire, and I've always wanted to. It was fab to be able to have such an exciting adventure close to home. The rest of the church is amazing as well, and the tour guide who talked us through all the features and history was very knowledgable. Everyone at St Walburge's is really nice and passionate about the place. I would reccommend the spire tour.

Spire at Night. Really enjoyed the evening. Climbed the Spire 170 plus steps. The wind was howling. After we came back down a lovely lady called Marie gave us a great insight into the history of the Church. I would definitely recommend this event.

Lovely huge Church more like a Cathedral in looks but one of the cleanest churches especially given the size !

St Walburge’s is a huge and extremely impressive Catholic Church that is a Preston landmark. The statues along both roof edges are interesting and I would have loved some more information on them. The church building is in a very bad state and needs a lot of work so please donate as much as you can when you go. I went to the traditional Latin mass which was the 6.30 pm Sunday service.

Went here under the Church's Spire at Night initiative. A very pleasant church which needs a lot of work doing. The spire was not too difficult to climb and gave nice night views over the city.

We did the spire climb. An excellent visit to an awe inspiring church in need of restoration. Greatest by friendly staff and everyone welcoming and the guides are excellent in their historic knowledge of the church. A superb idea in which to try and raise funds to keep this grade 1 listed building going. Concrete (~170ish) steps so not for the fainthearted, spiralling with no rope/handrails. Once you get to the top you can see across Preston, seeing Blackpool tower on a good day. Mulled wine, hot chocolate, tea and croissants afterward free of charge.

Set up by the Jesuits the Church is a little down at heel but is still very impressive. The Donation buckets scattered through various locations are really need to ensure the required work is done but it was sad to see most were empty. Worth both a visit and a donation.

I used to live just round the corner from the church and it seemed to be open almost everyday up until around 3-4
