A great Centre - worth the detour.

Dropped in whilst driving south to Stafford. A huge Centre with (they tell me) 120 different dealers. The offering was diverse and extensive - some (from my perspective) more interesting than others - but definitely something for everyone I would have thought. It is a bit rambling and you may miss areas if you aren’t careful.

If you find something in a locked case, make sure you take note of the name of the dealer and where it was.

A small fee to enter…..but insignificant in the scheme of things. Worth the detour. Mark sure you leave yourself a couple of hours to have a good look.

Enjoyed our visit and will be back

Went to have a good look around this centre, £1.50 to get in with free parking all day, there are not many antique fairs you can get into for that price and the amount of items in this place is huge, there is something for everyone here if you are prepared to look, everything from house clearance items ( some bargains to be had) to some very impressive Antique furniture ( out of my price range as I have expensive taste and little money) some very nice garden items we even found a whole stall of bird bath's, planters and ornaments , I also found one of my favourites a very nice French art deco figure, you do have to look at quite a lot of average offerings, but that's the fun of hunting around these places, so if you have the patience to hunt out a gem then this place might be worth a visit, it was for us and we will be back, we also went round to the farm shop and picked up a few items and finished off with nice a ice cream

Just an old tatty building selling mainly car boot items, you pay to get in which is not great tbh, place is untidy and grubby looking, staff are very young and come across as unapproachable.
The place is very very big, i recently watched an episode of "the antiques road trip" Paul Laidlaw went into GB antiques and said this place is huge, next shot was him walking out having bought NOTHING......says it all really....

Well worth a visit

Lots to see and some good prices but Its getting harder to find the best items. This place is well worth a visit if your in the area. Whilst some of the items on offer are not the best you can still find some treasures if you take the time to look over everything on offer

Worst Antique Centre Ever Visited

This is probably one of the worst antiques centres I have ever visited and to add insult to injury was also charged for the privilege at looking at car boot items at vintage and antique prices , also probably one of the dirtiest places I have ever seen . There is a couple of nice rooms but that's about it . If you want to visit a proper antique centre try Hemswell Antiques centre near Lincoln, which has to be one of the best in the country and they don't even charge to get in .

Saw this place on a few antiques programmes on the TV. Having now visited myself (and being in the trade), I do wonder why they bothered.

There are some decent stands, but these are very much in the minority. A lot of it is just a mess - I have no problem at all with house clearance dealers, they're an important part of the antiques food chain and there's always the chance of a genuine bargain. What I do object to is a shop charging an entrance fee, but not upholding their dealers to keeping their stands tidy. The first few small shops by the entrance are a right mess and you do wonder what you've let yourself in for!

As others have commented, there's quite a bit of repro stuff, some of it woeful. It's not my sort of thing, but if it's accurately described and priced accordingly, you pays your money and you makes your choice.

I think that the management need to keep a much closer eye on a lot of their dealers and make sure they keep their stands looking good, with consequences if they don't. It's not fair on those who have tidy, well-organised stands and, presumably, pay the same rent.

We have known about GB Antiques for the last few years but never got around to visiting while in the area.

This time we made it… WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT…. This is not an Antique Centre, it is house clearance and repro.

Interesting experience!

Spent a pleasant couple of hours here having a good mooch around. Lots of space to walk around and route markrd with arrows which was helpful as it is HUGE! Very small admission price but parking was free and we visited the other outlets on the site so probably there about 4hrs all in all. We viewed the admission fee as a parking fee so its cheap. A good rainy day activity.

A great day out

This place is huge! Seriously, it could take hours to really take it all in. Yes, some (well most) of it is so-called 'house clearance' but so what? If you're looking for something quirky and different, you might find it here. And there ARE some tasteful antique repros too. Combine a visit with a look round the factory and food outlets and you've got a great day out for what, £1.50! And people moan.

We have always enjoyed visiting GB Antiques and have bought many items over the years. However, we turned up yesterday with our dog (as we always do) and told dogs are no longer allowed on the premises.
Apparently, irresponsible dog owners have been letting their dogs fowl on the carpets and leaving it there. This must surely be a very small minority, in all the years of visiting with a dog I've never seen anything like that.
I feel very disappointed that the minority have spoilt it for the majority, it should be the owners banned and not the dogs.
