Visited here this week, with my husband and little boy, we all loved it here, this park is absolutely beautiful some stunning views, a lovely waterfall, buildings and we really enjoyed our visit to the butterfly house and seeing the animals too, would highly recommend a visit here

Very hilly but worth the hike. Amazing views and beautiful buildings. Loved the waterfall and the lake.

My Favourite Place in all of Lancaster

This park, once named Gallows Hill since this was where everyone was hanged that was tried at Lancaster Castle and Court, is a little oasis in an otherwise rainy, grey, grumpy city. When I lived in Lancaster it was my favourite place to visit and the one place that has stayed with me since I left. I actually miss it. There's plenty to do; the Ashton Memorial, the walks through the woods, the cafe which is lovely, and the little zoo and butterfly sanctuary. Absolutely love the place - in all weathers. Even when it's raining! The book fair in September is great fun too.

One of the grandest and most beautiful parks

Frome Tresco to Inverewe, this is one of the grandest and most beautiful parks in the UK. It puts to shame many parks and gardens for which significant entrance fees are charged. Entry is free. There are many "hidden" paths to explore, a stunning view, a cafe, small creatures zoo, play areas and the "Grandest Folly" in England with a dome to be seen from miles around. Don't forget to pop into Lancaster City too.

Lovely walk round Williamson park, there are a couple of parks for different ages and some good walks behind the butterfly centre. My only negative would be to sort out the duck pond as the water looks like if someone fell in they would never return.

Lots to do and see for all the family

This is a fabulous park full of beautiful botanicals, there is a cafe, play area and butterfly house and behind the park wall, a nature trail, plenty to see and explore, a lovely duck pond, fountain and waterfall and hidden gems like an observatory ruins. Parking is payable in the carpark, but there are lots of streets around the park with free parking. There are toilets at the cafe too

An outstandingly beautiful park. Lots of green space for the children to run wild or play parks for more structured play. Also a magical woodland walk.
I didn’t visit the butterfly house or zoo but I did venture to the cafe that was continually busy with long queues out of the door.
The gem of this park has to be the Ashton memorial coupled with extensive views across to the sea.
