It’s an English Heritage property so National Trust membership doesn’t count.

The gardens aren’t fully wheelchair suitable. There are parts where you have to go down stairs to get to the bottom. It’s uphill to the house and gardens on gravel type paths. It’s downhill to the church and the same steep slope back.

I believe the entry price now includes both hall and gardens. In the past you could buy separate tickets but looking on the English Heritage website it looks as if this is no longer the case.

I think they might find indoors boring. But the gardens contain some interesting walks, wooded, some steep stone steps, sunken garden and lots of birds.

we have English Heritage membership so we dont pay at attractions

there is a bus to the village and a short walk to the entrance of the grounds it would be easier to get a taxi as others have said if you are bothered about a walk.
