Most visitors pass the gates to Kiftsgate on their way to Hidcote which is much more famous and much busier, but they would be wise to stop here for an afternoon of horticultural delights.
It's simply wonderful: a garden with great views, narrow winding paths, ponds, terraces, temples and, of course, very interesting plants. The house itself forms a pleasing back-drop. It's impeccably maintained throughout.
Highly recommended.

A beautiful garden, friendly staff and a lovely lunch. We were lucky with the weather, so could fully appreciate the view and garden. Just right for a few hours with friends.
One thought - the lunch was super, but the choice was limited. I am vegetarian and there was only 1 thing for me. If we had gone with our daughter we would have had a problem - she's vegan and would have gone without.

Came here for the first time to this wonderful garden created on a hillside, with great views. Lots of unusual plants and planting. Revered in the gardening world as having three female head gardeners.
Excellent tearoom attached to the house serving a good selection of food.

Absolutely beautiful. A classic British garden right out of British Homes magazine. You finish up so refreshed and relaxed by its beauty.

This is a superb Arts and Crafts garden set on a Cotswold hillside with stunning views towards Stratford on Avon. We were very impressed with all the individual areas and the borders and planting near the house was exquisite. We'll definitely be back.
We didn't try the tea-room so can't comment on that, but we did notice it was a little gloomy inside - slightly off-putting on such a sunny day!
It can't be helped but much of the garden is not accessible by those with mobility issues. Of course this can't be changed - I'm just saying this as a warning to others! The steep rocky paths are intriguing and great fun to follow if you are able.
One sad point: there was a drowned vole in the large pool. Please could a few 'hedgehog ramps' be put in? We couldn't see anywhere that a creature could climb out if it fell in.

We visited on a semi-rainy day but the gardens are fantastic regardless of the weather - several fabulous distinct areas to visit and are generally well kept throughout.
It would be better if more plants are labelled with their name.
Also we had coffees etc in the cafe. Cakes and other items are very expensive… ie £4.50 for a moderate size price of cake. Latte was 50% froth.

Very disappointing.Have visited before and it was lovely.Yesterday it was ckear it hadnt been looked after.Paths inaccessible due to overgrown plants. Hardly any colour in borders and parts marked no access. I wont be going back...shame

What a pleasure! These gardens are delightful. The various areas open up to colourful well stocked beds, sweeping views and secret gardens. We loved it. However, if you are not steady on your feet, some of the paths are quite steep and uneven. You will need to be careful. Lunch was lovely and generous. A super visit.

This garden is one of the prettiest a have seen in the Cotswolds. Beautiful shrubs and flowers in a typical Art and Craft Garden.

It was a toss up between Kiftsgate and Highgrove on which was our favorite garden in England on this trip. Kiftsgate is just beautiful with a wonderful array of plants and flowers as well as stunning views of the Cotswolds. Our visit was truly memorable. The whole grounds are immaculate and beautifully gardened. Interesting plants and flowers are around every corner. If you are a bit older, they may discourage you from going to the lower garden, but don't listen. It's a relatively easy walk down the hill with hand railings and the views and overall setting is superb. We spent almost an hour just on the lower garden enjoying the views (and the swing). The walk back up was completely manageable and took about 8-10 minutes. If you can do more than a couple of flights of stairs, you should be fine. It was a bit busy with a couple of tour busses there but we didn't feel crowded once we made it past the entryway. If you are interested in seeing English gardens, Kiftsgate has to be on or near the top of your list.

Could you tell me the name of the flowers I've seen in your garden that are in the Cornflower family I believe Centaurea
and have bloomed in May and June when we have visited.
I hesitate to describe "color" as that can sometimes be difficult to agree upon, but to me I think of a wine, burgandy color
possibly. I have grown this plant with blue blooms, Mountain bluet, in Tennessee, U.S.A. and will be visiting your amazing
garden again in about 10 days and hope to locate some seeds to purchase then as I cannot find them here.

Only guide dogs are allowed in the garden but the blind or partially sighted are advised to take caution as the gardens have some steep paths and steps. There is a small lawn for dogs to stretch their legs near the main car park and a grassed area beyond the overflow car park where they can also have a walk.
