If you’re anyhow into Eastern culture, this little gem will take your breath away. Absolutely loved it! Two floors of amazing expositions, one completely dedicated to Indian culture, another to Nepal, China, Tibet. Stunning pieces of art, unique examples of amazing craftsmanship, lovely organised stands.
We were given printed guides in English, which helped to get more info about the exposition, but would appreciate also an English description of each piece duplicating French labels, im one of those people who do read them :)
We’ve spend there around 1,5h but i could spend more if on my own and not rushed by my friends :) loved it!

Musée visité un jour de pluie sur les conseils de l'employée de notre hôtel. Très intéressant avec des oeuvres magnifiques venant d'Inde, du Népal, du Tibet et de Chine.

Collection très riche et variée (sculptures, peintures, bijoux...) de différents pays d'Asie (Inde, Tibet...). Dépaysant, cela vaut le détour !

Ce musée est très intéressant et fait voyager. Il a besoin d'être rénové. Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de visite audio (hors application) pour ceux qui n'ont pas de portable, car la lecture est fastidieuse. Dommage qu'il soit mal indiqué dans la ville.

Un musée un peu vieillot d’aspect mais avec de magnifiques pièces - possibilité d’appli sur téléphone avec explications audio. Magnifiques pièces de toutes tailles et des différents pays asiatiques.

WOW - we couldn’t believe how good this collection is, this should/could be in the Met in New York.. If you are interested in Asian - really Indian, Tibetan and a bit of Chinese art, especially sculpture then its a must visit. We spent an hour, we would have spent more but the guide booklet is confusingly organised - apparently they have an app which is better.
BIarritz - why dont you take this world class collection out of its crummy building/basement on a roundabout by the tax office and put it in the Maison Bellevue, right on the seafront - which is basically totally empty. You could create a major cultural draw (i reckon people would come just for this from Bordeaux if you market it correctly - haha) and build a proper space to show off this collection. You could do that in 6 months.
We went on a cold july day and saw only 4 other people there - Biarritz you can do a better job than this with your major cultural asset in the city.
