Very nice setting: the cafe garden is really charming, there is nothing wrong with that.
I had previously looked at the menu on the Internet and noticed that the Awards were reasonable (14.90€ the drink + savoury + dessert menu). Arriving on site, the waiters were not very welcoming. There were 2 pies left that fought in a duel, drinks were very expensive and sweet do not even mention it (4€ a cookie). There was no formula like I had seen on the Internet.
In short, between the rather expeditious welcome and the Awards, I was really disappointed.

I went there for the exhibition on Gericault. Correct exposure, which deserves a 5⭐️
I wanted to try the tea room .... Unacceptable! Very high Award. For coming to pick up a tray and bring it back like we're in a big chain. Knowing that there are few people ... regarding what is proposed, pastries not at all up to standard! Not to mention all the wasps that land on all the pies etc... when I told the waitress, she replied that they had already set wasp traps but they came back anyway. So I fell back on a cookie at €3.5. Very dry, very hard and crumbling. Besides the piquant limit tea... I think they can change the brand! Especially for a small cup of barely hot water at €4.5. Obviously the tables outside are not cleaned.
Shame

A place of peace and great beauty where the only thing to do is stop and contemplate the roses, the beautiful house, the garden. Nice exhibition on Géricaut's horses. Highly recommended

A museum devoted to George Sand, but also to Géricault as part of the exhibition "The Horses". This fabulous temporary exhibition is on two levels crossing the flower garden and its terrace where it is good to stroll. What happiness!

Beautiful house and interesting Ollie room of art and all for free, try and visit when the local school next door, isn’t on beak time, it gets rather loud at that time. Otherwise a tranquil haven in a busy city. Worth a look.

it is an artist's house and there are memories of George Sand, who frequented a literary salon here. There is also a nice garden with a cafe. in my opinion, background music would be appropriate, for example by Chopin, of which some objects are preserved

Museum: not a romantic welcome at all... The house and the courtyard are cute but Ary Scheffer's workshop and the 2 visitable floors of the residential house do not live up to the name of the museum which is very promising. It's small and narrow but it's worth a little visit if you love this era. However moved by an original text by George Sand written in his own hand.
Café: perhaps we chose the wrong day... staff problem? a very pretty little garden, a magnificent Sunday in October, like in summer. The good weather was no surprise as the whole week was summer. It was 4:30 p.m. We are told that the last order will be accepted at 5 p.m. We queue to have 2 places at a large table where 3 ladies were already seated. No service... you have to go to the small greenhouse to order and carry your order on a small plastic tray. A woman (tired, angry, overwhelmed and impatiently waiting for 5 p.m.) has to do everything alone!!!! For a warm welcome we will come back. There are very few things left to choose from despite it being the perfect time for coffee. We have scones. They are not served with traditional Cornish cream but with butter and there is only blueberry jam but let's move on, that's a detail...
Much worse: We are served tea and hot chocolate in disposable cups with a wooden stick as a spoon. Given the location (the café is intended to be English style), I dreamed of dishes decorated with flowers but the romance was not there. It really ruined the atmosphere and what can we say about useless trash when we talk about the environment from morning to evening. What a pity!

Good morning,
I never comment except in a positive way but this time, I have never experienced this during a museum visit. It was Sunday September 3, 2023. I was staying in Paris. It was very nice. With around fifteen other people, we were waiting for the museum to open at 10:00 a.m. There was a delivery and then the doors remained open. It was 9:57 a.m. We walked up to the entrance. A lady from the ticket office and a gentleman arrived saying that they had not been paying attention and that it was not time, ordering us to go back where we came from, that is to say 10 meters before...what shocked everyone was the manner and tone used, addressing people by saying "they"...Not nice at all. The gentleman said "the time is the time"... when we arrived 10 m behind, it was 10:00 a.m. and we returned. Infantile!! a couple of foreign tourists were there with 2 children. They certainly had to leave after the visit because they had suitcases. If we can understand that there is no possibility for suitcases, this was said to them in a very clumsy and disrespectful way. We even told them to ask the brasserie opposite to take them during the visit...but what a lack of civility and professionalism!! They left certainly thinking that Paris is beautiful but only the bad welcome is not a legend. Everyone was shocked by the way we were received. I would like to point out that it was only these 2 people...then, ticket office for the temporary exhibition, very good indeed, then visit to the museum. I remind you that we were 15 people maximum. An employee called out to me, asking me not to hold my small backpack on my shoulder but in my hand or in front of me. I tell him that there is no one in the room, he tells me that's the rule. Well, that was the last straw. There is the law and the spirit of the law. The rule is completely understandable and I would naturally have respected it if there were people there, but alone or with 1 or 2 other people, it doesn't make sense. I reported their detestable reception. My visit lasted a total of 1/2 hour. I expected a lot from this visit, my wife having told me the greatest things about it, there were few people, the weather was nice. The morning was ruined and that of a few other people too I believe by the significant lack of courtesy and disrespect of some. I often go abroad and I have never been received like this. I think especially of this family of foreign tourists, angry and disappointed when they left with their suitcases, disrespectfully sent back!!!!

I cane a cross this by accident whilst exploring the St Georges area. Be aware that though the address is correct the house is set back from the road & approached via a passage so it is easy to miss. There are several elements, some are free, others not and not all the displays have English translations. Whilst we were there there was an element of confusion as to whether the cafe was going to open but there is a pleasant garden to sit in.

Hello!
How much is the entry of the museum? You have to enter the museum to go to the cafe? or is it free?
What about the café prices?
