Wir waren bei den French Open 2023 von Freitag bis Sonntag, also einschließlich der Halbfinal- und Finalbegegnungen im Court Philippe Chatrier. Scheinbar hat sich die Organisation verbessert, wenn ich die Kommentare der früheren Jahre hier lese. Wir hatten keine Wartezeiten, die Betreuer waren überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Sicherheitskontrollen (leider immer notwendig) waren zügig. Die Atmosphäre in den Stadien ist toll, die Spiele selbst ebenfalls. Auf Essen haben wir verzichtet, denn bei Massenveranstaltungen kann man da nicht viel erwarten. Das Event bleibt unvergesslich für Tennisfans. Ja, die Tickets sind schwer zu erwerben und wenn man es geschafft hat, zahlt man viel Geld. Zu viert ist man schnell ein paar tausend Euro los. Es muss es einem eben wert sein. Es sind Welten gegenüber der Fernsehübertragung.

Wonderful event

We found everything about the French Open to be delightful. (Well, except the price of tickets on the secondary market.). It was a spur of the moment decision and we were pleased we did it.

The grounds were great. Easy accessible, clean and easy to navigate. The crowd was fun and friendly.

We’ve been to the US Open. This was a bit calmer and smaller. But with top caliber tennis and a French vibe (of course).

Torneo spettacolare organizzato ottimamente . Consiglio di arrivare con i mezzi pubblici e con un po’ di anticipo in quanto c’è abbastanza coda per entrare .

Terrible organization of the event, unstable match schedule, terrible ticket sales control system. a real shame. What’s supposed to be tennis party, instead your organization decides to play with people's time. prestigious event? Its a complete disaster. 👎 👎 👎

Roland Garros has a disastrous organization!!! The website is a shame and the match selected for the 4th of June of 2023 night session wasn’t appropriate at all. This fact was reflected in the massive resale that took place in this session...really disappointed of this event that calls itself one of the most prestigious on the planet. I recommend to the organizing committee to go and take note of the US Open, things work flawless there, and they do not play with people's time and money

I purchased tickets to the French Open through goaltickets.com a ticket broker in California, and I must say, they gave me some great tickets to see Nadal on the central court, philippe Chatrier.

The atmosphere at Roland Garros was electric. The 4 matches were good and Nadal put on a great show. The facilities were excellent, lots of seating outside for a quick bite.

We (8 of us) booked day tickets for Suzanne Lenglen on Monday May 23rd. Arrived around 11:30. Took about 20 min to access our seats. After 20min it started to rain. We had umbrellas but all the places with a roof were packed and we could not access any food stand or restaurant. By 2pm we were hungry and asked if we could just leave the premises to get lunch outside but we were told that we would not be able to re-enter. This is absolutely ridiculous since the tickets were clearly identified by name. Eventually we left having seen about 20 min of tennis. We felt ripped off. Nothing like the US Open.

Nice Venue. Tickets Can't Be Scalped

Bot tickets at the last minute on the Roland-Garros website. Name is assigned, so tickets can't be scalped making seeing tennis a reasonable price! Rain and umbrellas a nuisance. The bathrooms at Suzanne Lengren stadium are choas (bottle neck of traffic in this area). Limited options of food. Tennis and venue, however, were great. The most crowded of the Grand Slams, but still fun!

I've visited all 4 Grand Slams, and Roland Garros is by far the smallest venue.
As every other event, there are some good and some bad points.
The good:
1) You can get tickets, very easily. General entry tickets are as cheap as 20 EUR. This is extremely important: If you cannot get in, you cannot enjoy it! (At Wimbledon, for example, very few tickets are on sale - most are distributed through a ballot)
2) Play on clay is always spectacular, and if you are a Nadal fan, RG is *the* Grand Slam to attend. Be aware that on windy days some of the clay will end up on your clothes!
3) Great merchandising available (clothes, tennis bags, etc), possibly the best I've seen at any Grand Slam.
4) Easily accessible with the Paris metro system. You will need to walk a little, or take one of the shuttles, but reaching the RG grounds is quite easy.
5) Great coffee!

The bad:
1) The organizers clearly did not know how to handle "free seating" in the big courts. Some matches were postponed due to rain, and the following day the public was invited to go watch these matches, in the big show courts (while only paying a "general entry" ticket). There were several empty seats, lots of people were eager to go in to watch, and the security guys were saying that the seats had been "saved". In this case, since spectators have not paid for a specific seat in that show court, they cannot "save" their seats. So this is something Roland Garros needs to address, in the future.
2) They need to provide some shelter from the rain. It rained a lot while we were there, and there was only one tent to hide under, which was packed. The organizers should put up some more tents around the courts.
3) There was not a lot of food choice. All the stands had the same things, and they were not particularly good. (Except for the crepes - the crepes were not bad at all). Considering we're in France, the food really should be better.
4) Too many security checks. I'm all for security at an event, but this is ridiculous. RG is the only Grand Slam where we need to bring passports with us. Also, completely emptying everybody's bags takes ages. They should install some x-ray machines, and save time.
