Amazing way to get "back to nature," especially after a few days in the hustle and bustle of Paris. You will need a rental car, but you can get on to some back roads that will take you past flamingos, wild horses, and long hikes near the sea. Don't miss the museum.

Amazing to see wild flamingos, fairly close up, and several other interesting birds too. We went to the Point du Gau Ornithological Parque to get a general impression of the Camargue wildlife. There is a shorter and a longer walk around with lots of flamingo spotting opportunity. Don't forget to bring plenty of insect repellent and binoculars (or you can hire very good binoculars there). There is a little café/bar at the start/finish for the thirsty/caffeine -deficient

La plus belle plage d’Europe pour moi c’est l espiguette, mais pour le reste comment dire, en un mot : MOUSTIQUE !!!!! Ils ont ruiné nos vacances impossible de profiter des terrasses, obligé de s’enfermer le soir… honnêtement je n’avais jamais vécu ça avant de toute ma vie, une invasion de moustiques de jour comme de nuit, à rendre fou.. il vous dévore résiste au vent, les produits anti moustiques ne servent strictement à rien et je n’exagère pas… je plein les locaux, je pense que si j’y reviens ça sera l’hiver et encore pour moi, le grau du roi, rime maintenant avec moustiques… vous allez vite comprendre en y allant que rien n’est exagéré dans ma description… bon courage..

Siamo stati al parco Ornitologico Pont de Gau. Sicuramente abbiamo visto tanti aironi ma davvero poco altro. Onestamente mi aspettavo molto di più.
Siamo poi stato a Saint Marie sur Mer. Tanta folla e conseguentemente impossibile parcheggiare. Non una bella cittadina.
Non mi trovo in linea con le recensioni che avevo letto e che riportavano pareri entusiasti.

La Camargue est telle qu'on l'avait imaginé donc d'un côté c'était très chouette mais nous mettons un gros point négatif sur la saleté. Grosse déception avec les déchets le long des routes. Comme trop souvent les gens ne respectent la nature.

un long Week end ne suffit pas même en cette période de sortie de confinement ou quasiment tout était fermé . la nature est splendide, la faune, la flore, on respire, bref magnifique Camargue, nous reviendrons !

How it will better to make a quick tour around Camargue to see the main sights - horses, flamingos, bulls? We are coming through Arles and arriving to Camargue at 3pm and will have just 3-4 hours. Our group is 4 people.

I'm not sure about running into the sea but the boat trip we went on takes you to an area where the horses are herded down to the bank so that we can see them. I am sure this would apply to all the boat trips.
I am looking to photograph the white horses of the Camargue, and the flamingoes. I will be driving to the park in May. How should I go about it?

Le passeggiate sono libere, sia nel parco che all'esterno.
Per il parco si paga il biglietto e poi si valutano autonomamente i percorsi.

My husband and I will be visiting Marseilles and the nearby Provence areas from May 7 to May 25. We will be renting a car to get around and would like to visit the Camargue to see the horses. However, I've been reading that car break-ins can be a problem in rural parking lots. Any guidance on where to park and where to see the horses? Also, can you just drive through the park and see the horses? Thanks!

Its not very easy to get in alone , most of the property are orivate or national park .
The best way for you is to go with a tour guide or rent a bike .
They are welcome pretty much anywhere
