We got very lucky that we were able to do a wine tasting as we didn't have reservations, but the young man offered to combine us with another reservation!
All of the wines that we tasted were excellent. We would have bought one of each if we didn't have a weight limit on our luggage.
The associate was very informative and shared information on the winemaking processes for each wine.
Highly recommend this tasting experience, and if you can't taste--buy the wines anyway!

A small vineyard in Chateauneuf du Pape with a long tradition (over a century) of fine winemaking. Unlike other wineries, the accent is not on robustness but subtlety, with the right ratio of grapes, aged either in stainless steel barrels or in old (40-60 years old) oak barrels. A pleasant and enjoyable surprise. Our guide (Paul) was amicable and knowledgeable, making the tasting and the visit all the more fun. I will come back.

We hebben genoten van de rondleiding op Chateau Fortia.
Omdat het niet in het hoogseizoen was, hadden we een privé rondleiding.
Prachtige omgeving en de passie waarmee Paul sprak…. Dit zijn nu harde werkers😉
Een echte aanrader als je in de buurt bent.

We had an amazing time at Chateau Fortia, doing the cellar tour, tasting and a walk of the vineyard. The building itself is very impressive which provides a great initial welcome. The cellar tour was extremely informative and really interesting, and we got to see all of the elements of the process including the aging of the wine in barrels and bottles right below the Chateau. The tasting was a relaxed affair and the wines delicious. Overall, the tour was made by our fantastic guide and host - he was friendly, knowledge and very funny! A really enjoyable experience.

Superb visit to a vineyard in the town of the world renown Chateauneuf du Pape. Paul our host gave the group an excellent talk about the way Chateau Fortia produced their wines. He was informative, humorous and very clear with his explanations in English and French.

Pierre fue un anfitrión excepcional. Visitamos la bodega entera e hicimos una cata de 6 vinos con denominación de Chatefeuf-du-pape, 2 blancos y 4 tintos. Lo mejor la conversación con Pierre.

A very friendly tour of a Chateau with really nice and interesting wines. We had the pleasure to be guided by the owner who was both very friendly and humble. Can really recommend a visit!

We made a reservation ahead of time for the tasting. Wonderful and informative tour by Paul. The tasting was a delight as well—we went home with a case of reds and whites. They were kind enough to even suggest lunch spots for us as well.would highly recommend

Extraordinary experience! Both the winemaker and the managing director guided the four of us through the wine blending process. Although we have toured Bordeaux, Burgundy, Napa Valley, and Sonoma, we learned a tremendous amount.
We started with a tasting of 100% grenache, syrah, and mourevedre, the three primary grapes in Chateauneuf-du-Pape region. The director and winemaker explained the aromatic profile of each, e.g. fruit, body, tanins, acidity, alcohol, while we tasted.
Each person then blended the three in different ratios in tall, marked beakers until each person had the blend of his/her preference. After each of the 3 blends, we could rate the blend with notes in a booklet provided.
