What an amazing day we spent with Pierre. He took us to several wineries each a bit different and special in their own way. We tasted excellent wine, had great conversation and a magnificent lunch. Can’t wait to visit him again!

En quête d’authenticité, ne passez pas votre chemin...

Nous étions un groupe d’amis en quête d’authenticité et nous voulions éviter « l’attrape touriste ». Dès la prise de contact avec Pierre nous avons senti toute la passion qui l’anime. Pierre n’est pas un simple guide. Il est sommelier de formation et s’est spécialisé sur le patrimoine de la vallée du Rhône Sud et notamment Châteauneuf du Pape.

Parmi nous il y avait pourtant quelques personnes de la région qui pensait en connaitre un rayon sur les vins du coin. Nous avons fait de nombreuses excursions de ce genre mais nous devons l’avouer jamais avec ce niveau de passion et de connaissance.

Ce qui nous à le plus impressionné c’est de voir à quel point les vignerons que nous avons visités lui font confiance : il possède les clés des domaines au sens propre comme au sens figuré.

Un seul regret, ne pas avoir réserver notre week-end complet avec lui pour découvrir les régions viticoles voisines. Qu’à cela ne tienne nous reviendrons plus nombreux encore. Vraiment merci Pierre pour cette immersion incroyable et pour la qualité de vos échanges, et à très bientôt…

Fantastic Wine Tour

Our tour with Pierre was simply superb. My wife and I love good French wines but are by no means experts. In addition to being an expert on wine, Pierre is a native of Chateauneuf de Pape who left a successful corporate career to return home to his love of wine. His love for the region and the people comes through very clearly. As we drove from winery to winery, Pierre educated us on the history, the process and most importantly the unique terroir. We were amazed to drive through one winery with one plot sandy soil, the next river rock, the next clay and then to understand the role of location, wind and weather on each of the grapes. At each winery we visited, Pierre was well known and liked. Interestingly he did not take us only to the best known locations but to a few that were off the beaten path, unique and different. We can't wait to return to Provence and spend another day with Pierre.

Une belle rencontre

Pierre nous a fait découvrir la face cachée de l'appellation "Châteauneuf du pape" avec passion et grande compétence.Sa connaissance du terrain et de nombreuses anecdotes nous ont permis de passer une journée exceptionnelle. Je recommande vivement aux oenophiles ou autres amateurs de vin cette expérience unique et très enrichissante.

Quelle belle journée!
Accompagnement au top de la part de Mr Fernandez qui transmet sa passion du terroir. Avec lui, on a un sentiment de visites exclusives. Nous devenons des privilégiés pour visiter, découvrir et goûter les domaines et autres châteaux de Chateauneuf du Pape.
Ce fut l'occasion également d'une journée d'échanges car il sait être à l'écoute de nos idées et autres remarques.
Une personne authentique et chaleureuse qui représente une très belle région.
Aucun regret, A recommander à 200%....
Encore merci pour ce beau moment Mr Fernandez!

Très bon tour, intelligent, agréable, qui prend le temps. On a fait ce tour dès la reprise post confinement et on a eu le sentiment d'être privilégiés. On a eu l'occasion de goûter une belle variété de vins très différents. Pierre est en plus un "guide" très pédagogue. Je conseille vivement

Avec Pierre, nous avons passé une journée inoubliable.
Des la prise en charge à notre hôtel, nous avons, à son contact, decouvert et enrichi nos connaIssances oeunologique. Pierre est un vrai passionné et il sait partager son savoir de manière très pedagogique.
Nous reviendrons certainement à la rentrée avec des amis.

The guide, Pierre Fernandez, was knowledable, complete, and engaging. He fulfilled my every expectation of a tour of my favorite wine region, Chaeauneuf-duPape. He took us to the earth, the weather and the grape, the terroir. He even found a winery that I was in love with in the United States but had stopped selling there - Chateau De La Gardin. I can heartily recommend his tour and his wonderful presentation.

Fizemos o tour Southern Rhône Valley privado com Pierre em outubro de 2018. Pierre nos buscou no hotel La Sommellerie em Châteauneuf-du-Pape por volta de 9h. Iniciamos o tour por Rasteau e finalizamos em Gigondas pela manhã. Visitamos o Domaine des Bosquets em Gigondas e o Domaine La Collière em Rasteau. Pudemos provar toda a linha de cada um dos Domaines. Desde os CRV,passando por CRV Villages aos crus. Pierre tem trânsito livre aos Domaines,nos apresentou os produtores e conduz a degustação com maestria. Somos certificados WSET 2 e sabemos reconhecer a qualidade das vinícolas e do serviço prestado por Pierre.

Almoçamos no restaurante indicado por ele. Ótima comida de um ex-chef Michelin. Pierre nos permitiu 2 horas de almoço o que demonstra sua atenção com o cliente.

À tarde nos conduziu à Châteauneuf-du-Pape onde nos deu uma aula do terroir antes de visitarmos o Château Sixtine e o Château de La Gardine. Nos conduziu a uma fantástica degustação dos Châteauneuf brancos e tintos numa sala privada de cada domaine. Destaque especial por termos realizado uma vertical do Cuvée des générations Gaston Philippe no Château de La Gardine.

Nos trouxe de volta ao hotel por volta de 18h.

Fizemos todo o contato com Pierre por e-mail. Foi atencioso e eficiente conosco. O depósito do sinal do tour foi pago via PayPal se não me engano. Rápido,simples e seguro.

Excelente serviço que vale o custo salgado superior a €200 p.p. do tour privado. Para quem deseja aprender sobre os crus do Sul do Rhône.

If you are looking for a fun, delicious and truly educational wine tasting trip in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, then Pierre is your man. Starting with a few quick stops amongst the vines, your tour will gain first-hand appreciation for the uniuque landscape and climate that make this region famous. Our tour stopped at three wineries, each with its own focus and unique selections.

Pierre is an authentic local who seems to know everyone in the area and is entrusted with keys to each winery. His unrushed presentation and charming personality allow you to enjoy each part of the trip while actually retaining what you have learned.

I can't recommend this guide and his tour more.
