What a wonderful afternoon touring in Heidelberg. Vera has very profound knowledge about the history of the city, its buildings, its famous places.
But thats not what made this day special. Vera knows hidden spots offsides what you can find in tourrist guides. She knows where to get a decent cup of coffee and she knows where not to go at certain times, avoiding tourist hordes. She knows a lot of the people working in caffees, museums and churches. And she loves what she does, its more to her than a job. Today i learned a lot about this city, its history, its people. I made plans for my next visits. And i got to know a wonderful smart and thoughtful woman. I could not have made a better decision for this day, thanks to Vera!

I spent a day with Vera touring Speyer and Worms, which are nearby to Heidelberg. I unhesitatingly recommend her as a tour guide for Heidelberg and the surrounding are. She was knowledgeable and energetic and made for such a delightful tour guide and companion. We visited a couple of Jewish historical spots that were a little bit “off the beaten path” and she didn’t miss a beat as we explored them together. She is full of information and history of Heidelberg and the area and is an engaging conversation partner. It was like the experience of visiting an old friend, and I only regret not doing a tour of Heidelberg with her! Also - she has a spacious Jeep if you have a group.

Vera provided our group of six with such an informative and fun tour of Heidelberg. Her love and knowledge of the city is top notch - we thoroughly enjoyed everything about the tour and she is an excellent ambassador for Heidelberg.
If you choose one tour guide in Heidelberg - choose Vera - you won't be disappointed. Our whole group agreed she made Heidelberg come alive and made us want to come back for another visit.
She excels at so much - wonderful tour guide, paddleboard instructor and author to name just a few!! Such a fun tour!

We took a three hour walking tour of Heidelberg with the author of Fascinating Heidelberg, Ms. Vera Cornelius. We cannot rave enough about the experience. Vera was the prior director of tourism for the city and author of a spectacular book chronicling the history of Heidelberg. (It is sold in German and English and we bought the English version). During the tour you learn not only detailed history, but unique local stories and lore. She quickly learned what interested the young adults in our family and adjusted the tour and background to them as well, touring the student prison. We saw two historical churches. And of course she took us through the castle property, seeing the world's largest wine barrel. Everyone in the town knows her and welcomes you to establishments. She also had great recommendations for our stay the remainder of the week. We have had a lot of private tours, but Vera is one of a kind. A warm heart, great personality and smile. Everyone will enjoy this tour. She also has an entire collection of tours to choose from. We LOVED our experience.

Meine Frau und ich haben im August Heidelberg besucht und haben im Hotel Villa Toskana in Leimen ein Arrangements mit zwei Stunden SUP Paddeln auf dem Neckar gebucht. Da wir beide noch nie SUP gepaddelt sind , waren wir sehr gespannt. Der Kontakt zu Vera war über das Hotel super organisiert und wir erhielten einen Anruf von Vera , die uns einen Parkplatz für unser Auto direkt am Neckar organisierte, an dem Sie uns an dem Tag in Empfang nahm. Vera war super sympathisch und hat uns Anfänger per Trockenübung in das SUP Paddeln eingeführt. Als unsere Wertsachen und Flip Flops in einem wasserdichten Beutel verstaut waren, haben wie uns dann unter Veras fachkundiger Anleitung auf den Neckar gewagt. Es war absolut tolles Erlebnis. Nachdem wir uns mit den Boards angefreundet hatten, konnten wir Veras Stadtführung genießen. Die Kombination von SUP Paddeln und Stadtführung ist klasse. Wenn wir wieder in Heidelberg sind, werden wir bestimmt mit Vera noch einiges erleben können.

Without a doubt one of the best tour guides I have ever come across. I have traveled extensively and met many wonderful tour guides but Vera really takes the cake.
Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Vera and her husband, they had water and snacks waiting for us as they set up the SUP boards! My friend was a bit scared to go out on the paddle board but Vera was very calming and eased us into using the boards. She took us up and down the Neckar and told us the history of the city of Heidelberg and we even saw baby swans!
Vera has such a warm personality and is a highly motivated guide (recommendable!). I truly enjoyed the paddle board tour and I am looking forward to doing it again soon. The scenery was beautiful and it was very soothing to have such a relaxed and informative host. After we finished the tour, her husband had set up a beautiful picnic of fresh local strawberries, olives, and juice. She also set up a reservation at a nearby restaurant for us to have lunch at after. She had previously decorated the table with confetti, a balloon, and even a unicorn snow globe (I briefly mentioned my friend liked unicorns and she remembered)!
The atmosphere was so special that being with Vera didn't feel like we were with a tour guide but with an old friend.
I highly recommend Vera to anyone coming to visit Heidelberg (or the surrounding area) and looking for a special day that you will remember!

Honestly was great experience i was really scared going paddle boarding because of the water but she made me feel very comfortable. And her attention to detail that she did throughout the day just was fantatsic. A great experience I highly recommend her. I love unicrons and she got me a unicorn snow globe as a gift. It was just great

From the welcome smile to the parting hug, Vera gives 100 % ! A few hours with Vera submerses you into the history, vitaliity and beauty of this exquisite river side city. The love she has for her home, backed up with her extensive knowledge is shared with ease and humor at a pace her client desires. The is no formulated 'tour', instead, she listens then customizes according to her guests interests. Every question is answered with informed detail. Equipping us with introductions to restauranteurs, local hotspots, museums and points of interest along the way, made other selections seamless for continued enjoyment. Her enthusiasm is contagious as the hours and miles pass, leaving the tourist with a sense of life, then and now, in this magically historic city. Thanks to Vera, Heidelberg was the singular highlight during our month in Germany !

In January 2019 after attending the Heimtextil Show in Frankfurt, we went to Heidelberg and Vera of VIPTOURS took us around the place. I am yet to meet a better tour guide than her.
She knows the area very well (in fact, she has written a book on history of Heidelberg and presented a copy to me). She is very good with communicating in English. Very hard working and detailed in all her work. I got the feeling that almost everyone in town knows her and she just flew in and out of every restaurant, castle, just anywhere and everywhere she took us. Her schedule was well planned and she was very punctual and showed up on time every morning.
I think she is so good because she is passionate about her work and enjoys doing it.
Have to mention this, when Ms Nancy got tired and decided not to go any further, Vera magically arranged for a wheelchair and ensured that Ms Nancy did not miss any part of the tour that day.
We enjoyed our visit and Vera made it extra comfortable and memorable. She truly makes you feel like a VIP.
