I found the architecture in Nurnberg and Munich more vibrant than in Schillerplatz, though what affected me the most was the sheer number of people during the Christmas Market. On the first day that I went, it was so crowded that it was difficult to move around. On the second day, it was much less crowded, so I had a chance to soak up the atmosphere which was delightful. The people were friendly, Christmas market was well designed and food was yummy. There were laughter, people socializing and connecting with one another, it was a very good Christmas feeling.

Stuttgart es una ciudad moderna, que cuenta con un casco histórico muy pequeño. Quizás Schillerplatz sea la plaza más bonita de este espacio, ya que se sitúa junto al castillo antiguo y cuenta con algunos de los pocos edificios históricos que quedan en pie en la ciudad, considerándose el núcleo de dicho casco histórico, cuyos vestigios fueron destruidos en 1973 durante la construcción del parking subterráneo que se encuentra bajo la plaza. En su centro se levanta el monumento dedicado a Friedrich Schiller, famoso poeta, dramaturgo, filósofo, historiador y editor alemán, erigido por el danés Bertel Thorvaldsen en 1839. Es un lugar de celebración de eventos, así como de un mercadillo que se celebra dos veces a la semana. Particularmente encantador el edificio del Fruchtkasten (Museo de Instrumentos Musicales).

Really liked it at the Schillerplatz... It immediately captures the attention with its Germanic building styles and the church. Well worth a look.

Jolie place, et quand nous sommes passés, un samedi, il y avait une grande brocante au milieu. Très sympa. Quelques bijoux à des prix très intéressant. Et un peu d’antiquités plus ou moins récente !
