As visitas eram maravilhosas. Além de belos lugares, as pessoas são muito gentis. Fomos de motor home e há vários lugares para estacionar. A abadia fica fechada na segunda-feira, por isso ficamos mais um dia para visitá-la e valeu cada segundo.

Curiousity brought me here. I saw the photo of the library from others review and told myself I must visit this place. Well, here I am. I am floored. The most beautiful library I have ever seen. It is small in scale but such an intricate opulent design. This is an easy day trip from Munich for me by train as I do not drive. I explored Fisherman's quarter and took bus number 4 and stopped at Pranger, a short walk you are there. It is not so crowded like the other museums I have been to Berlin or Munich, almost having the place to yourself. The staff are friendly and quick response via emails. You can get an audio guide in English for a small fee for only for the library. The rest of the exhibit are in German unfortunately. But it's alright. Oh better get some small change for the bus if you are relying on public transport.

Quando aprirete la porta di legno per accedere alla biblioteca resterete senza fiato.
Noi l'abbiamo visitata dopo il castello di Neuschwanstein.. lo so è lontano ma non potevamo non visitarla :) E' bellissima.. sembra di marmo ma in realtà è tutta di legno.
5.50€ ben spesi!
Consigliata anche la visita alle Chiese nel cortile.

Das Kloster ist sehr schön, der Klostergarten ist weitläufig angelegt.
hier werden im Sommer auch OpenAirs veranstaltet, und es kommen sogar (frühere) Weltstars!

Personally, I would advise those on a European holiday to skip Versailles, the Vatican and visit Wiblingen instead. To my mind, the monastery's library is the most beautiful in the world, just edging Austria's Admont. This is Rococo architecture at its very best. You have to prebook Versailles, the Vatican and share it with the multitudes. In Wiblingen you just rock up and with a bit of luck you have the place to yourseslf. It is hard to believe that hidden gems of this magnitude remain. A bonus is the helpful, personable staff (Mmes Pfaff and Krinke). Easily six out of five stars.

Der Besuch des Klosters Wiblingen hat sich gelohnt. Die gesamte Anlage, Innenhof, Kirche etc. werden gut in Schuss gehalten und wirken gepflegt. Das Museum ist informativ und inhaltlich spannend aufgebaut. Die Bibliothek ist beindruckend anzuschauen. Meine Frau und unsere Tochter haben die kostenlose Führung mitgemacht, welche sie auch spannend fanden. Am spannendsten wäre wohl, die "eigentliche" Bibliothek mit den wertvollen und seltenen Büchern zu besuchen.
Kann man gut besuchen und 2-3 Stunden Zeit verbringen.

Die Klosterkirche ist wirklich sehr schön und auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Bibliothek war leider geschlossen, hätte ich mir gerne noch angesehen.

De l'extérieur on ne s'attend pas à ce que ce monastère possède une bibliothèque d'une telle exubérance car le monument est plutôt discret et classique. D'ailleurs le reste des pièces est assez banal.
Mais cette bibliothèque est incroyable, on reste vraiment scotché avec son audioguide à écouter les histoires de tous les pans de la fresque au plafond. C'est vraiment un décor très riche mais avec les explications et le contexte donnés par l'audioguide on comprend assez bien qui, comment et pourquoi cette bibliothèque a-t-elle été construite de la sorte.

Quando sono entrata nella sala della biblioteca m’è cascata la mandibola!! Che meraviglia! Uno spettacolo, si resta quasi inebetiti. Se siete in zona, informatevi circa gli orari e andateci assolutamente!!!

Wunderschön und der Höhepunkt ist die ganz tolle Bibliothek. Man darf diesen Raum betreten und kann darin rum laufen und ganz in Ruhe dieses Kunstwerk auf sich einwirken lassen.

The bus line 3 drives this route. You can get in at the main station (Hauptbahnhof) or Ehinger Tor. The bus has to display ´Wiblingen (Alte Siedlung), because the other 3 drives to the university. Plan a 10-15-minute-ride. The ticket costs ca. 2,20e, and you get a discount buying a daily- or group-ticket. From Pranger to the Klosterhof you`ll need a 5-minute-walk. The actual bus plan can be downloaded from the SWU homepage, Nahverkehr (listed by the bus lines).
Have fun there, it`s a beautiful place.
