Very impressive! Such a vibrant and lovingly designed exhibition! I was totally flashed. And also our children (7 and 9) loved it. You have learned a lot about the child-friendly audio guide. I highly recommend it. That was fantastic!

We mistakenly thought that this building was a good place to get information before hiking in the national park, but they told us we needed to go to the tourist information center in town for that (which we did). So don't come here for either a hike or information about the national park.

I think the overall rating of the reviews suggests that the museum is an absolute success.
10 euros entry for 2 adults and 2 children, where else can you find something like that? This successful house was created with a lot of love and heart!

Ein tolles, modernes Dokumentationszentrum. Für alle Altersstufen geeignet. Schöne Exponate, informativ aber nicht überfrachtet. Auch das angeschlossene Restaurant "Alpenküche" bietet leckere Gerichte an. Ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen!

Hier stond eens een zeer mooi hotel die opgeknapt had moeten worden. We kregen er een roestig gebouw zonder emotionele waarde voor terug. Erg jammer.... De inhoud van dit nieuwe gebouw maakt het ook niet goed!

Atemberaubende Umgebung, die zum Wandern und Radln einlädt. Ich bin in der Früh um halb 8 los gewandert und war auf dem Jenner bevor die Touristen kamen. Die Ruhe und die Landschaft ist unschlagbar. Die 14km sind vom Königsee bis zum Jenner für sportliche Menschen in 3-4 Stunden machbar und der Ausblick von oben mehr als wert. Ich würde es immer wieder machen.

Consiglio di visitare questo bellissimo museo prima di intraprendere le escursioni in zona. Offre un sacco di informazioni interessanti sulla natura e il territorio ma soprattutto è uno dei più belli e moderni musei in Europa. È curato nei minimi dettagli per offrire un’entusiasmante esperienza didattica, pensata per gli adulti, non solo per i bambini.

Is there transportation within Berchtesgaden National Park ? My husband has very bad knees, we cannot walk miles on end. Thank you ? Same questions for Black Forest and Bavarian National Forest.

Hi. I would be surprised if there isn't some form of transport within The National Park, but I cannot be certain. I would suggest you contact the Berchtesgaden Advisory Tourist Centre to check. (Tel.No.49 8652 9686-0)
There are many hiking trails within the Park, but there are also other attractions within reasonable distance of Berchtesgaden eg:-The Eagles Nest, Salzburg and Konigsee.

I am going to be there for the new year and would like to know if the trail to the hanging bridge is open at that time of year. If yes from where does the trail start please because I can't find any information on the internet. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

It looks amazing. I'm planning on going there in September, but can't figure out if they allow overnight hiking visitors. Seeing as you guys spent 9 days in the park:
1. Do they allow overnight visitors
2. Where can I book accommodation?

The best starting points in the national park Berchtesgaden are parking Koenigssee, parking Wimbachbrücke, parking Hintersee and parking Hinterbrand. The main national network of the National Park with its difficulties can be found on our app.

We would like to go to the National Park but on our own, we've searching in some websites and it all said that we had to book a tour to do a hiking experience. Could it be possible to do it on our own without any guide?

If you just want to do a day hike, simply park (cost a couple Euros and you save money if your hotel has a pass card) and hike. Berchtesgaden National Park has a flyer that you can download in English as well as other languages so you know some of the hikes and distances as well as where there is parking. You can also pick up the map at their offices. Be sure to carry adequate food and water.

grazie per la vostra inchiesta. Il lago re si trova nel Parco Nazionale di Berchtesgaden. Da qui, siete i benvenuti nella penisola di St. Bartholomae un'escursione o guidare per Salet sulla barca elettrica. Da lì a piedi verso Fischunkelalm o Rothbach cascata. Vi auguriamo sicuramente un bel soggiorno a Berchtesgaden.
