Топовое место для любителей военной истории. Сотрудники разговаривают на русском, могут многое рассказать. При музее есть магазин, где то же на русском имеются книги.

This is quite a small museum and it‘s quite hard to get to. I ended up skipping the inside exhibition due to time and only looking around the outside, which had some really thought-provoking and informative information about the treatment of Soviet POWs and labourers during WW2. Would recommend a visit if you‘re into WW2 history.

Small but well laid out and thoughtfully designed museum. A bit off the beaten path but admission is free so worth a quick visit if you are in the area. The website has not been updated to reflect changes in COVID restrictions.

The museum is situated in Karlshorst about 10 kilometers east of Berlin Mitte. There is a bus stop in front of the museum, which is the place where the unconditional surrender was signed on 9th May 1945. Today the museum is jointly managed by Germany, Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.
Entrance is free, but when we visited a time slot reservation was mandatory, so check actual regulations before you go.
Apart from the impressive room where the surrender was signed, the museum has a large number of interesting exhibits, giving great insight in the war from both German and Soviet perspectives. A Soviet T34 tank is on show outside.

Excellent musée gratuit assez loin du centre, prendre S3 ou S5, descendre a Karlshorst puis bus 296, et descendre en face du musée.
C'est ici dans ce bâtiment que fut signé la capitulation des armées allemandes le 8 mai 1945, c'est donc lourd d'intérêt, mais assez méconnu. Il est à 12kms du centre de Berlin, mais 12 minutes en transport.

Saksan antautumissopimus allekirjoitettiin parissa paikassa, varsinaisesti Ranskan Reimsissä. Stalinin määräyksestä se piti tehdä myös fasistien pääkaupungissa. Täällä Berliinin Karlshorstin kaupunginosan vanhalla natsiupseerikerholla sen allekirjoittivat paikalle tuotu marsalkka Wilhelm Keitel ja marsalkka Georgi Zhukov myöhään illalla 8.5.1945, josta johtuen itäinen Eurooppa viettää voitonpäivää 9.5. ja läntinen 8.5. koska Moskovan aika oli jo seuraavan vuorokauden puolella.
S3 junalla Karlshorstin asemalle, jossa ulostulossa hyvä opaste museolle. Löytyy helposti. Bussiyhteyskin on, mutta matkaa on vain noin kilometri, joten kannattaa hiukan katsella ympärilleen.

Die Ausstellung in diesem Museum ist sehr interessant. Hier erfährt man sehr viel Interessantes über das Ende des 2. Weltkrieges. Alles ist sehr gut geordnet.

Наряду с Трептов-парком место, которое должен посещать каждый житель бывшего СССР, особенно те, кто помнит, что было когда-то и чья была правда и победа. Именно здесь можно посмотреть зал, где подписали капитуляцию, увидеть сам акт на трех языках и посмотреть хронику. Увидеть фотографии, почитать материалы (особенно тем, кто знает немецкий), какую участь готовил для нас Третий Рейх, что творилось на оккупированных территориях. Сразу скажу, без слез это смотреть невозможно. Не говоря уже о том, что тебя еще охватывает бешенство, и ты хочешь поквитаться.......В общем, обязательно всем русским, белоруссам, украинцам, казахам, грузинам, молдаванам и всем остальным, кто ПОМНИТ, место для посещения ОБЯЗАТЕЛЬНО!!

I visited on a pleasant, sunny January day. Since he weather was nice, I walked from Tierpark U-bahn station (U5) as I wanted to see some of the old Soviet military buildings that were in the area. It took about 20 minutes. I could have taken the tram/bus to get here on public transport though.
The museum is small but, well cared for and well curated. They have lockers for backpacks, coats etc and clean toilets downstairs.
The main hall where the surrender was signed is the main attraction. However, Marshal Zhukov’s office is pretty cool to see also. The exhibits in the upstairs galleries do a great job of relaying the sombre story of the Eastern front, the toll it took on the civilian population and the battle for Berlin. Outside are some static military vehicles and a section of the Berlin wall.
I left via the bus (five-minute trip) to S-bahn station Karlshorst (S3/S5).

Hi. I downloaded the BVG app which is brilliant and bought the 3 day travel pass for trains and buses which is great value. I guess you could do Uber which works well in Berlin but will cost more than a 3 day pass. Hope this helps. It is well worth the visit. No airbrushing WW2 here!
