Einfache nette Bar mit vielen Tischen draußen in der Sonne. Hier ist es herrlich ruhig um 17/18 Uhr in der Woche und nicht so voll wie Läden um die Ecke. Drinks sehr gut. Preise angemessen. Schön für einen Afterworktreff! Sehr nette Bedienung!

Macke Prinz is a fabulous tavern located by the wonderful Old church called Zionskirche ( Iglesia De Sion ) in the wonderful Prenzlauer Berg district of Berlin.
I love the look of this tavern,sparse decor and furnishings, low lighting gives this tavern a cool inviting look,there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this tavern both inside and outside looking out onto the beautiful Zionskirche.
My twin brother Stephen and I were wandering around this part of town and with temperatures hitting the 37 degree mark we were in need of a cooling beer,greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff who served us a big bottle of Becks beer each,these were served in tip top condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just chilled out and took in the great tavern we were in and the stunning location.
I really enjoy Becks beer,it's such a light and hoppy unpretentious beer that is really easy to drink and a beer style I really enjoy, my brother also gave the thumbs up to his beer.
We really enjoyed our beers in here and although we only stayed for the one beer before we moved on as on every other visit to here we had a great time.
Macke Prinz is really easy to locate, jump tram M1 or M12 to stop Zionskircheplatz which practically drops you off at the tavern which is found on Zionskirche Straße.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Sunday, 1pm till 2am.
A great tavern and well worth checking out.

Das Macke ist inzwischen eine Institution. Im Prenzlauer Berg, wo sich in den letzten Jahren so Vieles geändert hat - nicht unbedingt zum Positiven, sind solche Lokale nicht mehr ganz so häufig zu finden. Die Getränke sind in Ordnung, der Service freundlich und verbindlich und das Ambiente gemütlich. Und im Sommer bietet das Lokal direkt am Zionskirchplatz einen tollen Blick zum Verweilen, Faulenzen und Genießen.

Macke Prinz is a wonderful bar that we found a couple of years ago and on every subsequent visit to Berlin I always make a point of visiting not just this bar but this very cool and hip area of Berlin.
The bar is really cosy ,candle lit and quite dark with nice decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options both inside and outside looking out into the busy and bustling streets around this wonderful bar and looking out to the beautiful Zionkirche ( Iglesia De Sion ) .
We were here on a Friday night and this place was bouncing with a great atmosphere,we ordered Veltins beer and these were served freezing cold and sparkling and we just chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this wonderful bar..
The beer was superb it was just so cool being in such a bohemian style bar enjoying really fresh beer and enjoying a proper locals night out.
We really enjoyed our beers in here and in the end we ended up staying for another beer before we moved on.
Macke Prinz is really easy to find by jumping tram number M1 to stop Zionkircheplatz were you will find this bar on Zionkirchestraße in a nice square with some great restaurants and bars .
Opening hours are;
Monday to Sunday,1pm till 2am.

Das Macke Prinz ist gut gelegen und erinnert ein bisschen an ein Pariser Café: kleine Holztische, es darf geraucht werden, schummriges Licht. Selbstbedienung am Tresen bei moderaten Preisen (4,5€ für ein Glas Wein). Größter Pluspunkt: Das Publikum ist ungezwungen, man hat das Gefühl hier etwas Abstand zu dem "Sehen und gesehen werden" in Mitte zu bekommen.

Macke Prinz is an absolutely fantastic restaurant and bar that we found a couple of years ago and now on every visit to Berlin we always pay this place a visit as it is that good.
Macke Prinz itself is a cool restaurant with a lovely interior,nice decor and furnishings with low lighting that helps create a cosy atmosphere plus you have a very pleasant outside seating area looking out onto the busy square and the wonderful and beautiful Fordervorein Zoinkirche ( iglesia De Sion ) which is a very old church that looks stunning.
We were at Macke Prinz on a Wednesday night and this restaurant was packed but we luckily got a table inside were a very pleasant member of staff took our order of a couple of refreshing beer's and we opted to have bottles of Becks beer.
These bottles were served iced cold and we just chilled out and soaked up the tremendous atmosphere of this restaurant and bar.
These are the type of places I love to visit,they are not your tourist rip off bars or restaurants and this is reflected in the price and the quality of service .
We really enjoyed our beer's in here before we moved on but as on every other visit to here we had a great time.

Macke Prinz is an excellent bar in an area of Berlin called Mitte were there are some excellent pubs/bars and restaurants and it is in my opinion one of the best bars in the Zionskirch area of Berlin.A great bar with a nice range of draught and bottled beers on offer and managed by excellent staff.This first rate drinking establishment has been serving beer for over 200 years and offer a great range of German beers.Housed in a nice building and facing Zionskirch'inside Macke Prinz has an excellent cosy lived in interior with very atmospheric lighting and great seating options.Macke Prinz has a great outside seating area and is the ideal area to enjoy a few beers on a warm night. After visiting Kapelle café-bar we decided to go in here for a few beers.We went here fairly late in the evening and took a table facing the bar.We ordered our beers which were a couple of bottles of Beck's Pils that were excellent as was the price of the beer we had.Macke Prinz is a great bar located in a great area and is well worth going to when in this area of Berlin.Located on a street called Zionskirchstraße and easy to find from tram stop Zionskirchplatz it is a few minutes walk.(This is my 2nd review of Macke Prinz).
