Calling this a "museum" is quite a stretch. Its a very small building off a side street & is so small inside it could easily be mistaken for someone's house! Chap at the desk was perfectly nice but the actual displays just appear to be a random collection of stuff. Skulls, wands, statues of gods, paintings & so on. Their are puzzles to solve throughout however most of them don't actually have anything to do with magic. The whole experience was an hour of my life i'll never get back!!

We really enjoyed our visit at magicum. Especially the tarot session at the end! Highly recommend for young and old!

Die Ausstellung ist relativ klein gehalten. Die Themen könnten noch informativer gestaltet werden. Die Folter-Abteilung habe ich als beklemmend empfunden. Viel Spaß hatte ich mit den rätseln und den anderen Aufgaben. Alles in allem habe ich mich ohne Zaubershow etwa 2 Stunden dort bestens amüsiert, weshalb ich den Eintrittspreis als angemessen empfinde.

Es ist erst mal komisch, wenn man am Eingang einen Prospekt in die Hand bekommt mit dem Auftrag, während des Besuchs darauf Fragen zu beantworten. Aber man steigt hinunter zur Ausstellung und wird dann doch gefangen von den Informationen und Experimenten.

I think someone probably said "Hmmm what is a good way we can make some money, with minimal effort? I know! Let's use a underground space, and each of us think of something remotely related to magic ... throw in a few cheap copies of some torture devices, and sprinkle around a heck of a lot of tarot, and other cards..."
The "magic" show, was more of a cold reading - in which predictably, many guesses of peoples' experiences were wrong!
Honestly Berlin - don't cheapen yourself - Berlin has so many great things to see - but when you do things like this - it just gives the place a bad name. Sorry - but if I could I would give it zero out of 5.

We went to both explore some history and the interactive part as well. The personell was great and we got all the information we needed. The museum is at first both reading and exhibitions. You also get a small paper which you answer questions during the visit about yourself. The last part is the interactive part with pussels, quizzes and other fun parts.

En stjerne tildeles grunnet barns medium entusiasme. Et slags oppkok av overtro og rør på papir. Kunne kalt det billig moro, for det kostet omlag 350 kroner for en familie, men graden av BS var såpass høy at man blir flau av å komme ut døren. Kjøp heller en ti-pakk med brain teasers.

Es war ein heißer Donnerstag in Berlin, zu war um sich lange draußen aufzuhalten. Wir hatten das Museum entdeckt aufgrund eines Flyers im Hotel. Es ist im Keller und deshalb fantastisch für heiße Tage!!! Wir hatten super viel Spaß und haben viel gelacht, ein sehr gelungener Besuch!!!

Die Zaubershow war wirklich niedlich. Die Mitarbeiterinnen hilfsbereit und sehr zugänglich. Es war ein toller Ausflug für die ganze Familie.

We really enjoyed our visit - we were looking for some different things to do whilst on a short break in Berlin and came based on previous reviews.
There is a good mix of information, history and also interactivity. The interactive side made everything so much more interesting and fun and it’s all really well laid out.
The guy on the front desk was also great, friendly and welcoming.
