Es ist ein bedeutendes historisches Gebäude im Zentrum. Auch von aussen ist es sehenswert. Es beherbergt heute die Touristeninformation, Sonderausstellungen und ein Restaurant (Ratskeller). Nur im Rahmen von Stadtführungen kann auch das Innere ausgiebig besichtigt werden.

Schon seit etwa 1270 hier in Göttingen, im 19. Jahrhundert ausgemalt. Mit stilvollem, romantischem Trau-Zimmer, Ausstellungen und Ausblick auf die Kirche St. Johannis dahinter. Direkt am Markt gelegen, Bus-Haltestelle: Markt.

From the outside it’s not picturesque attractive old city hall which was built in 1270 and used as the merchant’s guild hall and yet it is worth taking several steps up order to see this building from the inside - one can find the beautiful 19 th century interior decoration: the frescoes which depict the coats of arms of the Hanseatic cities. Magic of strength to be experienced while watching the depictions on the walls.

The town of Göttingen reminds me a bit of UC Santa Barbara. Bikes everywhere! The old part of town, inside the “wall” is charming. Beautiful architecture, many churches and the “Goose Girl” statue where if you receive your Doctorate, must climb and kiss her forehead. This town is a college town and host University of Göttingen with 36,000 students!

この旧市庁舎は旧市街地は町の中心的な場所にあります。マルクト広場にたてられています。今は催し物などの会場や市民の活動場所になっています。ツーリストインフォメーションはこの中にはないです。広場の建物の一角にあります。

Bei einer Stadtführung hatte ich Gelegenheit, innere Räume des Rathauses zu besichtigen. Das ist auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert, da es außerdem Informationen zur Geschichte gab.

Das Rathaus ist nicht nur von außen eine Schau, sondern besonders von innen. Der riesige Saal im ersten Stock ist sehr sehr schön. Frei zugänglich ohne irgendwelche Eintrittskarten kaufen zu müssen.
