What a big statue!!!!

Honestly i would like to see it again with the light. We were in Koblenz for the XMas Markets and it was completely dark. But the big statue of Kaiser Wilhelm was visible also in the night. A huge statue that dominates the joining pointof the two rivers. Must see in Koblenz

Huge statue of Kaiser Wilhelm on his horse. Free to enter the park which is surrounded by the flags of the German cantons. Beautiful views of the river. Huge stone steps you can sit and take it all in. There are love locks here as well. There’s lots of open air food vendors. Catch the gondola along the river walk to get up to the hillside fortress.

Da wo Rhein und Mosel zusammenkommen, befindet sich das sogenannte Deutsche Eck. Das Denkmal ist insgesamt 37 Meter hoch, das bronzene Reiterstandbild mit dem Kaiser Wilhelm I ist alleine 14 m hoch. Die Siegesgöttin führt das Pferd und trägt in der anderen Hand die Kaiserkrone. Das muss man gesehen haben.

Een van de bekendste punten in Duitsland. Ontelbare malen beschreven en bezongen. Het is een markant punt waar de Moezel in de Rijn stroomt. Overheerst door het imposante beeld van keizer Wilhelm. Een bezoekje waard.

Lots of German history and big statue are two accurate descriptions from other reviewers and one has to be close up to really appreciate how huge this very Germanic statue is. A statue dedicated to the guy, Wilhelm 1, whose vision transformed Germany from a collection of principalities into the strong modern nation we know today. But its not just boastful - in the surrounding parkland there are several monuments remembering the collective folly and evils of the Nazi era and the subsequent division of the country by the Russians. And the confluence of the Rhine and Mosel is origin of the name, Confluentes, given by the Romans to this attractive city
