Je précise que mon commentaire porte principalement sur la visite de NUIT.
Les jardins, de jour, sont très beaux, bien qu’avec pas mal de monde (mais on s’y attendait).
Nous avons donc également fait la visite de nuit.
Les + : ambiance romantique, beaucoup moins de monde qu’en journée, température agréable (prévoir une veste quand même), très belle vue sur Grenade de nuit, l’odeur de chèvrefeuille est juste un délice (il y avait un gigantesque mur de chèvrefeuille en fleur au moment où nous y sommes allés)
Les - : eh bien… la visite des jardins de nuit, c’est juste un « bête » éclairage quasi que au sol durant toute la visite. Pas de mise en scène ou de mise en valeur particulière du lieu… entendons-nous bien, on s’attendait pas à un sons et lumières à la Johnny Halliday, mais là, aucune des fontaines n’étaient pas éclairées, il y avait un échafaudage (sur roues, donc déplaçable le temps de la visite) à un endroit... La partie visitable est également bien moins étendue que de jour.
Bref, après notre emballement de la visite de jour de la veille, nous avons eu un goût d’inachevé.
En résumé : une visite sympa à faire mais pas forcément indispensable.

Um diese Sehenswürdigkeit zu besichtigen, wurde uns nur ein Ticket für über 20€ pro Person angeboten, welches wir dann abgelehnt haben. Ärgerlich wenn man das erst so richtig vor der Tür erfährt.

Preciosos jardines, aunque NO estaban funcionando las fuentes que dan encanto a los jardines debido a la sequia extrema que están viviendo.

It is located by the side of the Alhambra. It is the summer place for the Kings. Surrounded with gardens, flower beds, fountains. It is like a paradise. Half hour walk around the site.

Done as part of Alhambra palaces visit. Do not miss. Wonderful gardens. Not a strenuous walk. Beautiful gardens and water features, plus more great views. Gets crowded with tour groups so a bit of patience needed for some photos.

Beautiful palace with excellent gardens. However, slots, like in the Palacios Nazaries, are to be recommended. The Generalife palace is to small to handle large groups, especially when they arrive simultaneously. Some guides are assertive and expect that their group has the right of way and that other visitors will have to wait and/ or adapt. Do combine a visit to the Generalife with a visit to the Alcazaba, Palacois Nazaries, Palace of Charles the V and other gardens.
Beware that when you buy a ticket with a discount on the internet you get a voucher and you have to go to the ticket office first to get your ticket. This may take some time. Without a discount you can enter the Alhambra complex directly.

The photo of the Generalife with the fountains in front is probably one of the most iconic of all the Andalucia. But the Generalife is even more. A spectacular palace with great gardens. If possible better to visit late in the morning when the sun is already high and the light is better.

It is a beautiful park and worth a visit but still it does not create the same "vibe" of feeling the old times like the palace on the other side. We liked it a lot that there are some fountains that allow you to fill up water bottles which was necessary during the walk.

Hola! Voy en un tour que llega 2pm, si reservo 4pm a los palacios Nazaríes y salgo 5:30pm podría entrar 30 min a los jardines? Cual es la última hora para entrar a los jardines (marzo 8:30-6pm)? En algún lugar vi que tenía que entrar 1 hora antes? Si alguien sabe les agradezco! Hello! I'm going on a tour that arrives at 2pm, if I book at the palaces at 4pm and leave at 5:30pm, could I enter the gardens for 30 minutes? What is the last entry time to the gardens (march 8:30-6pm)? Booking this ticket is a mindfield! We have booked generalife tour, it does include nasrid palace but I don’t know what that is? Also, anyone know if you can pick the tickets up the day before your tour is booked? Thanks, any tips appreciated

The Narsrid palaces are the HEART of the whole Alhambra. Not to be missed, go and queue at least 15 mins before your allotted time. You can pick up tickets from the machines near the entrance, unless your printout is the ticket itself, it should say.

Do they allow re-entry to the garden? We have timed ticket at 2pm and are staying at the Parador. It would be nice to be able to go back into the garden when it's cooler.

Access to the part that requires a ticket is limited to only once. I saw a couple before me in line, that were re-entering and the person checking the tickets told them it is only once. The couple answered that they visited only half of it because they had to be at the Nasrid palace at a fixed time, and the controller allowed them in again, after some further discussion. I wouldn't count on being readmitted however...

Walk up from the plazza de santa Anna and then enter the Alhambra via the Peurto de la Justica gate. Once inside the walls you will see signs and a queue for the nasrid palace. Join the queue 10-15 mins before the stated entrance time on your ticket. Stewards will come along and ask what time you are to enter and then motion you to go on through to ticket checking close to the time for entry. If you miss your time slot you will not gain entry as the palace is popular. The other palaces have no time restricted slots and you can enter them at your leisure.

There are free audio guides available at the main entrance. When booking your tickets you need to specify what time you want to go into the main palace and these times are strictly adhered to, if you are late for your allotted time, you won't be allowed in. X You will need a minimum of 3 hours for your visit X

Further: The citrus trees may have fruit but the likelihood of flowers would be low
HOWEVER you can certainly expect to be able to enjoy the Alhambra and Generalife with less crowds so you will be able to see the buildings with less tourists in the way of the photos you may wish to take
I am planning a trip to Granada either February or April, 2018 and look forward to seeing the gardens. What will be growing then? Will the gardens primarily be the shapes of hedges that do not lose their leaves?

Hola estoy por visitar la Alhambra ,voy a sacar el bono diurno turno tarde , de 14 a18 ( nov), y voy a marcar el horario de 16 hs para palacios Nazaries. Como me conviene organizar el itinerario?? por lo que lei el Generalife queda trasmano del resto del conjunto??? es mejor dejarlo para lo ultimo???
La entrada general , se div en bomo mañana y tarde , mi idea es sacr el de tarde, si llego a las 13 hs me dejan entar o debo esperar a las 14hs???

teniendo la entrada puedes entrar a la hora que quieras, como si quieres entrar a las 9 de la mañana pero la hora del palacio nazaries es la que tienes que respetar para verlo si o si, estate 10 min antes, no mucho antes ya que no te va a servir de nada, y respecto al generalife si esta a desmano, te recomiendo vayas con tiempo, veas toda la zona de alrededor del palacio nazarie y despues del palacio ya ves el generalife... sobre 3 horas no te las quita nadie por alli dentro viendo todo el tinglao... y si saca las entradas antes o si vas tarde no entras
