Wonderful culture and food history

Thank you SOOOO much, Irene, for an amazing evening. Our start in Albaicín, followed by such yummy tapas, was the perfect primer to Granada and its rich history. I also loved to see the smiles and hugs between you and the restaurant owners as you arrived. They too love you!!! Thanks again for a magnificent experience.

Lots of history, tapas and new drinks all in one!

Our experience with Irene was far more than I expected. We started on the top of the Albacin neighborhood and wound our way down the windy streets of Granada, learning so much history while enjoying the beautiful architecture. We enjoyed delicious tapas and leaned about Granada’s most popular drinks and wines while visiting three different restaurants. We really enjoyed our experience. Irene is a delight to be with.

Best tapas tour ever!

Irene came very highly recommended by someone who knows Spain very well and even then we were surprised by how much fun this tour was and how much we enjoyed the food and wine.

It was just the two of us and Irene customized everything to cater to our tastes and even our neighbourhood. The entire evening felt like we were catching up with a friend, but not just any friend. This friend is on a first name basis with all the restauranteurs and bar owners and knows the best items on all their menus! And I mean “BEST”! We had wonderful food and drinks.

If you are hesitating about taking a tour, don’t. Commit to this now. You won’t be sorry. We feel we left Granada with a new friend.

Tapas - must do in Granada!!

While in Granada, I would highly recommend a tapas tour with Irene! We met her in the Albayzín neighborhood where we went on a walking tour learning so much about the area. Irene is extremely knowledgable about the history of the city and showed us so may interesting things we otherwise would not have seen/learned about. We then went to multiple tapas bars "off the beaten path" which we would never have found on our own. Irene had great relationships with each place we visited - the food and drinks she ordered were amazing!! She was a lot of fun to spend the evening with! This tour was the highlight of our trip to Granada!

A Must Do Tapas Tour with a Granada Local!

At the recommendation of our travel consultant (Karen Rosenblum/Spain Less Traveled), my wife, adult daughter and I scheduled a tapas tour with Irene during our a Aug 2022 visit to Granada. We are so happy we did! Irene clearly has significant experience with the tapas scene in Granada and took us to places we definitely wouldn’t have discovered on our own. Each of the four locations we visited were unique in character, offerings and location. The tapas were all very delicious and Irene worked with each of us to help experience local wines, vermouth and even non-alcoholic beverages. She clearly had solid relationships with each of the vendors, which provided a level of comfort and welcoming for us. Beyond tapas and drinks, Irene is worldly, a great conversationalist and full of valuable knowledge about Granada, which was very helpful during our trip. Don’t hesitate to book a tour with Irene, or you will miss out on a great experience!

Great Tapas Introduction to Granada

I took several walk/hike and tapas tours with Irene during my 5 day stay in Granada last Dec. We tried several types of tapas on each of the tours and combined it with walks in Albaicin and/or to the neighboring villages. Another highlight of the tour/s was to venture into the tapas bars a bit outside the touristy area and get a feel of authentic Spanish tapas culture. Undoubtedly Irene's tapas & walking tours were the highlights of my stay in Granada and it made my trip a memorable one. Irene is very easy to get along and that made the walking tours even more enjoyable. I wholeheartedly recommend Irene's tapas tours to folks visiting Granada and looking for authentic tapas experience.

Outstanding Introduction to Granada

We started our Granada vacation with a tapas tour led by Irene, and enjoyed a very pleasant culinary adventure directed by Irene. The tour included my family of four and another American couple. Irene took us to four tapas bars/tabernas – one with outdoor plaza seating, and three located on back streets that we would have never found had not Irene introduced us these delightful establishments! My son’s favorite was Marianos - a true local’s place, as I think we were the only tourists in the place. My wife savored the tempura style fried shrimp at Marianos. The food preparations at Vege were absolutely superior! However, we had the most fun at our last stop - Mas Que Vinos, where we ordered extra drinks and stayed until closing – being the last patrons to leave at night’s end. The Spanish wine selections were all outstanding and paired well with the tapas, while my sons enjoyed cerveza at every stop. Although, later during the vacation, we enjoyed several excellent Granada restaurants that we found on our own, none were as much fun as the night we enjoyed with Irene. The cost was very reasonable, and I would not visit another Spanish city without hiring a tapas guide. Bring comfortable walking shoes and an appetite for culinary adventure!

The best tapas tours in Granada

These tours are brought alive by an excellent guide... she loves and knows the best places for tapas in the city. Seems like the tours are her passion; she is definitely passionate about the beautiful city and its surrounds as well as good food. She is so knowledgeable about all corners of the city. She does not only offer tapas tours but can connect the traveller with other attractions... she believes in promoting and connecting the locals. One cannot go wrong with a tour with Tapas in Granada

I have eaten in restaurants all over this world but the food produced here is to die for. The Tapas is prepared and cooked in a small kitchen and the wine is sourced from there own vineyard locally, brewed and bottled in the restaurant. The staff and helpful and friendly, with the whole experience being just MAGICAL. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food produced.
