We booked an auto tour with Barcelona Auto tours for May 2020, after reading the amazing experiences from many.
With Covid, air and hotels were all canceled and closed. We informed Barcelona auto tours, two months prior to our tour, it looked like we would not be able to do the tour. After our hotel and air were officially canceled, we informed Barcelona Auto Tours that we would not be able to do the tour and asked for our 1/3 deposit back.
We paid Arthur through Pay Pal and have never been able to contact him, or Barcelona Auto Tours, through email, phone etc. In fact, our dealings were always with Barcelona Auto Tours and we do not know who Arthur is. Pay Pal has refused to give us our money back which is around 400 US. The hotel where their offices ARE located, HAS TOLD US THE OFFICE IS CLOSED DUE TO COVID. If anyone knows how to get our money back, it would be appreciated. Our hotel and airline have both give our money back, hoping we will travel again with them. This certainly has left a bad taste in our mouths.

We are a New York family and travel often. Manuel met us at airport. Immediately connected with everyone. Very timely and flexible. He didn’t just drive us to the hotel but gave us a free tour of this amazing city. Great stories and extremely informative. We then spent the day walking around Girona with him. It was as if we were hanging with a very educated family friend!! An absolute must see but only with Manuel!! He fit right into our family dynamic and there was absolutely no way we would have enjoyed the day without Manuel as the lead. Best investment. We were all sad to say good bye to him as he helped create memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you Manuel !!!!

My husband and I just completed our 4day Barcelona tour with this highlighted tribute to Gaudí. I wish better words than thanks to express our appreciation for our sweetest and brilliant tour guide Tanya with BGB who patiently educated us so well and greatly opened our eyes on Sunday January 19. Now that we are back in America, we see all buildings in a new light. The same credit should also go to all other professionally guided tours on this trip and Gate1 who always set up everything Impeccably since we started traveling through them years ago. We are happily spoiled by them during all our relaxed times throughout Ireland, Italy, Greece, Prague, Barcelona. On every trip we not only found ourselves greatly immersed in various cultures but also making new friends and enjoying company with good people from all over the world. We look forward to many more in the near future.

My husband, daughter and I went to Barcelona for a ten day trip right before Thanksgiving. Fortunately, I found Manuel online to take the three of us privately to Montserrat for an all day guided 8 hour tour as Montserrat has been on my bucket list for years. What a great decision! Manuel picked us up at our hotel and we had a wonderful time and day with him. He talks to you the whole hour car ride there so you know what you are seeing. We never would have had the full experience at Montserrat without him as we prayed at the Black Madonna, saw the Boys Choir, toured the property and the Art Museum while Manuel patiently explained and guided us along our journey. He is super knowledgeable and speaks English perfectly. He gave three Texans a wonderful day we will remember forever! He is the best! I can not recommend him highly enough!

We had Manuel as our guide, he made the highlight of our trip. Very knowledgeable, flexible, helpful and full of energy.
We really appreciated him going beyond the plan to help us with a lost phone scavenger hunt , it would have been impossible without him.
Highly recommended!

We took private car/van tours, we were with friends, of the city of Barcelona and the next day to Montserrat Monastary. This tour company was excellent and very accomodating. Marco and Manuel were great guides and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs.

I have been on a lot of different tours and excursions all over the world. This was by far the best tour I have been on. From the very beginning, the experience was very prompt, professional, and flexible. Based on your interests, you can customize your own tour. We were able to choose our pick up time, location, and destination. Manuel was our amazing guide. We did our tour during the peak protests in Barcelona, Manuel went out of his way to ensure we had an amazing time and experience. We choose to visit Montserrat, and Manuel went out of his way to take us there (there was a road closure due to protests sitting on the highway, the train and cable car were closed, due to the general strike) Manuel drove us all the way to the top. We ended the day with an amazing wine tasting at Pares Balta, a recommendation from Manuel. He went with us to each spot and provided a personal private tour based on his experience and knowledge. My 5 friends and I had an amazing day and experience thanks to Manuel.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our day spent in Barcelona with Manuel. He tailored the day to our desires and proved to be an amazing guide. First time in the city this was an amazing overview that laid the framework for an incredible week. Everything was professional and efficient from scheduling the tour via the internet to the Pretour communication and prompt pickup. Lovely lunch and excellent recommendations. Highly recommend.

Every aspect of our experience as tourists in the Barcelona area was superb because we had expert "supervision" as provided by Manuel and the staff at Barcelona Car Tours. We loved Manuel's willingness to carefully listen to our needs and desires and custom design a personal program just for us. We knew from our guide in a previous trip to Israel, that guides do not always appreciate schedule changes; last minute additions and cancellations, but Manuel effortlessly and with grace, met our every need and request with a smile. I think this was the best aspect of having an expert guide: Manuel provided the expertise which made it possible to shift our schedule if we were tired, or wanted something different, or the weather changed, etc. We saw all the important sites that interested us, and yet were able to veer off onto lesser traveled journeys that were personal to us, watching Manuel make a phone call or a text or have a word with many locals to ensure that our adventure was interesting, fun and organized when it needed to be. Experts in the local area really count when the city gets crowded, or when something goes awry with weather, or illness, and our week-long stay in Barcelona was enriching and relaxing, fascinating and fun. I seldom write reviews, and only do so when a service is absolutely beyond all that is expected. Barcelona Car Tours made our huge investment of time and money well spent and truly memorable.

We spent a full day with Manuel. He was an architect and was full of insights into the city’s architecture. We had a great day that we will always cherish. He recommended a great restaurant for lunch which was so good we came back for dinner when our planned restaurant was overcrowded. It was a cost effective enjoyable private tour experience.

e-mail them and they respond quickly. Highly recommend this tour. You will learn things you would never discover on your own from the intelligent and very funny owner/leader. We loved it.

We have been trying to contact them since April for a refund on a tour booked for October with no response. I suggest you look at other companies - I think this one is gone.
