On the highest part of the city, the wonderful edifice in light hued stone is truly an outstanding landmark.
Visible from many parts of the city, it was great to visit and see and admire the vast holy place. Beautiful facades lead into the superb nave.
A high altar area is glorious with exquisite gilt ornamentation. Marvellous carved detail in the choir is to be seen.
Fine slender columns crowned with ornate capitals reach to the vaulted ceiling. Stained glass glows throughout.

Sin duda recomendaría la visita a la Catedral por toda ella y por su contenido.
Pero recomiendo encarecidamente la visita guiada ya que con ella hemos podido acceder a zonas que no se podrían ver en otras circunstancias, básicamente al campanario. Y es fantástico oír las campanas in situ, en un sitio único y en un entorno incomparable.
Honradamente, hay que decir que el tiempo (más de 2 horas) que duró la visita no hubiese sido ni la cuarta parte de divertido y agradable sin el guía: Paco. Un fiera. En conocimientos, amabilidad, cortesía, simpatía... Desde Gijón, estaremos eternamente agradecidos. Un auténtico placer!

To wonder around Terragona is without doubt one of the most beautiful places I’ve been to with tree lined streets lots of cafes to choose from and it’s full of history it’s just and absolute joy to walk around and lose yourself in it’s beauty but while your there please do not forget to visit it’s wonderful cathedral where you can get lost in its peace and beautiful pictures and works of art so if you can it’s a must

Pues la primera vez que no me duele pagar 5 pavos por ver una "iglesia"
Por fuera está bién, pero por dentro es una pasada, los retablos, cualquier detalle de su inmenso organo, que por cierto tocaron cuanto estubimos, el claustro, vamos, todo es una pasada. Totalmente recomendado.

Well worth the €3.30 entrance fee (ask about ‘combination’ tickets if you are visiting other attractions).
Very little signage or information in English, but you don’t need to read to experience the grandeur of the setting.
I found the most fascinating part was the excavations of the Roman temple which are just north of the cloisters. It is amazing to think that the cathedral was deliberately built over the pagan temple and that worship kid some form has been going on in this spot for more than 2200 years!

Nel cuore della città medievale, la Catedral de Santa Tecla appartiene all'epoca di transizione dal romanico al gotico (XII-XIV sec.) ; le cappelle laterali sono di stile plateresco e barocco. Preceduta da un'imponente scalinata, ha uno splendido portale maggiore e un chiostro con eccezionali capitelli figurati.
Tra le numerose opere d'arte, il notevole Sepulcre de Joan d'Aragó ed il capolavoro Retablo di S. Tecla, patrona della città.

La Cathédrale fait partie du patrimoine mondiale de l'Unesco, il faut absolument voir cette édifice et prendre le temps d'en faire le tour et de visister chaque endroit, sans oublier le magnifique cloitre

The church and cloisters are well worth a visit. The church is well maintained and cloisters provide a pleasant garden and cool shade on a hot day.

Me parece INCREÍBLE que alguien no haya FLIPADO con la Catedral citada; pues más que eso es un conjunto Románico único en Cataluya y España. Hay para todos los gustos, cierto es, pero no saber observar debe ser tan difícil como no saber vivir.

Entiendo que el dirigirse a mi es un error por parte del flipante observador. A mi si me gustó la catedral y, sobre todo, lo que respeto es la opinión de los demás viajeros. Nunca critico el que a alguien no le guste algo que a mi me parece interesante, pues para gustos colores.
En fin zamorano, que me alegro de que te haya gustado tanto la catedral y, para otra vez, respeta un poco a los demás viajeros.

Buenas noches; en mayo hago un viaje y voy a parar una mañana en la ciudad. Entre mi visita principal está entrar en la catedral, pero no me interesa, por falta de tiempo para ver otras cosas, entrar en el claustro. Mi pregunta es, por visitar solo el interior de la catedral se cobra entrada? Gracias por anticipado.

Hola! a mi parecer visitar Tarragona y pasar de la catedral es un gran fallo, aunque sí se paga entrada, vale la pena. Yo visitaría primero la catedral, luego el circo-pretorio y ver el anfiteatro desde la rampa de entrada a la taquilla (dentro de la verja), pasando de comprar entrada. Si te queda tiempo puedes ver el museo arqueológico, las murallas o la casa Castellarnau (si está abierta claro). No vale la pena ver el teatro, el foro local o la necrópolis.
