A memorable week in Puglia

I joined the 9-days Matera to Lecce guided tour.
It was a fabulous trip, very enjoyable, and very well planned and organized.
Our guide Mimmo was fantastic - very knowledgeable, friendly and passionate,
and inspired confidence.

An amazing experience!

We were really impressed with the @Pugliacycletours experience, we just regret not booking a longer trip! We recently completed the 5 night self-guided excursion from Putignano to Ostuni and fell in love with the area. My wife and I are fit cyclists and did not find the 40-50Km/day that taxing as the hills were quite gentle (even the “climb” into Ostuni) and there were enough interesting views and locations along the way to keep us entertained. The hybrid bikes we rented were simplistic and perfect for the type of riding a trip like this entails. We had no issues with the bikes and when we did have minor issues with our GPS guide unit, Pugliacycles were quick to respond. All the towns visited were quite charming and the locations we got to stay in were pretty incredible, usually located in the heart of the town close to attractions and excellent restaurants. We really felt that touring the area by bicycle gave us more of an “authentic” experience and have already recommended Puglia Cycle Tours to several of our friends. Loved it!

TOTALLY GREAT TOUR!

We had a terrific tour in Puglia, starting in Matera and finishing in Lecce. We were a small group (six guests) but were expertly led by our guide Mimmo, who shepherded us through the occasional rotary, and also taught us about local food, wine and cultural and historical landmarks. And the October weather was just perfect!

Fabulous 12 day Cycling Tour of Puglia

We chose to do the longer guided cycling tour and it was the right decision: that way we got to see both the northern and southern parts of Puglia, and rode both inland and along the gorgeous coast. The tour exceeded our expectations because our tour guide, Christina, was incredibly knowledgeable, totally fun to be with, and helpful. She can change a tire and fix fenders with ease, and she even let me practice my creaky Italian on her! To really see and understand Puglia, you have to experience the longer ride. All the towns and cities were interesting, the countryside was beautiful, and the accommodations were great. Wonderful food goes without saying.

Thank you all at Puglia Cycle Tours (PCT) for a wonderful tour. The daily routes were well thought out, many interesting places to visit and beautiful scenery but on roads less travelled - we think a lot of work must have gone into developing the routes. We did encounter a couple of issues with equipment, as can be expected but were very impressed by the way the PCT team were available to support us and resolve the problems quickly and efficiently without impacting our itinerary or overall enjoyment. The accommodation provided was interesting and varied ranging from rustic to boutique, again well done to the thought that has gone into giving your customers such a range of experiences. Also the accommodation was conveniently situated in each overnight stop and generally in the charming historic part of town.

Magnifique découverte des Pouilles en vélo!

Expérience formidable!! Le choix de l'itinéraire et des hôtels était parfait et surtout l'assistance en cas de problème fut efficace, rapide et toujours avec beaucoup d'amabilité.
Un seul petit bémol: un des vélos était "en bout de course" et nous a lâchés... mais l'agence est rapidement intervenue pour le remplacer!

Anniversary Trip in Puglia. Cycling, olives and history

Incredible company to cycle with! We did an 8 day self-guided tour and we were so impressed by Puglia Cycle Tours. They designed an incredible trip which we will always remember. Everything from the planning, equipment and route was perfection. The staff is the best we have come across and we can't thank them enough for their care and attention. We are looking forward to our next adventure with them!

A week in Puglia

We did a 7 day self guided bike tour ending in Lecce. Very well organised and great route. Special mention to Chiara who answered all our enquiries pre trip promptly and to Antonio who gave a clear but concise briefing of the bike and routes. These were very easy to follow with the personalised app on the supplied Smartphone which attached to the handlebars. The hotels were uniformally excellent (first night in a trulli!) and cafe/restaurant recommendations excellent. Bikes were new or almost so and v comfortable with good range of gears for the terrain.

Awesome experience

We did a self guided bike tour with Puglia Cycle Tours at the beginning of October 2022. Chiara was our main contact at the company and she was great! We were provided with bikes and a gps and did about 50-60k per day for 5 days all along the coast. It was so beautiful, the only thing we’d change is to have more time to explore the areas we cycled through (we were on a tight timeline). All the hotels we were booked at were nice and the staff were so friendly and helpful. It was also amazing to have our luggage transported to each hotel for us. For reference we started in Lecce then -Gallipoli-Leuca-Otranto(2 nights)and back to Lecce. All of these cities and the coastlines were beautiful. Would definitely recommend!
