I can’t imagine seeing Pompeii without an expert guide like Manuela. She studied archaeology so she had lots of relevant facts to share. She helped us manoeuvre the crowds and see the top priority sites. I’d definitely recommend this tour.

We took a Pompeii Walking Tour with Mondo Guides with a recommendation from Rick Steves. The tour was great. Our guide, Manuela was sharp, witty, humourous, and just a great joy to be around.
She expertly navigated us around the huge Pompei complex, winding around the hordes of tourists.
Her explanation was insightful and deep. After the tour we were able to go around the rest of the site knowing the basics of the town.

We took our tour just the two of us (husband and myself) with Manuela. She was amazing. I couldn’t write enough good things about her. Our tour was private but she had so much to share, was funny, and helped us get through without being in the heat for too long. She was phenomenal and we loved her. Definitely the highlight of our tour.

We visited Pompeii. Manuela our guide was superb. From her vibrant personality to a great story teller as well as knowledge of the topic she made few hours of the tour very memorable. We hope to come back one day and have more opportunities for guided tours with your company.

Mafalda, our guide, was terrific. We really appreciated the smallish size of the group. We were 11 and that size really makes the group workable. She is kind and smart. The tour was well done, the right length especially in the heat, and full of information.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Luca and Nicola. Meeting up was well organized and easy, and the coach was very comfortable. Nicola expertly dodged crazy mopeds and traffic. Luca was very friendly and fun with good recommmendations in Positano and Sorrento. I recommend skipping lunch or grabbing quick bite to enjoy these destinations more. Luca was in his element in Pompeii. We were very grateful for his knowledge and clear communication. The listening devices ensured all of us could hear him. He was also sensitive to our group's need to find shade and rest along the way on the hot and steamy day, and they got us back to our ship with plenty of time to spare. This day was one of the highlights of our 2 week Mediterranean Cruise.

we had a great time with the tour. Andrea is such a lovely guide, always cheerful and happy to share many stories, tips, and general info. When one of his participants tripped and fell in Pompeii Roberta called him and he was already waiting with a big bag of ice at the exit to help cool the swelling.
Andrea provided clear instructions on when and where to meet again, where to find good lunch, where to taste free samples, where to buy water before a visit to hot Pompeii. His selection of Italian music on the return drive to Naples left everyone happy and humming along.
Roberta was full of detailed, but very interesting information as well. She led us nicely to a lot of great sights in Pompey, quickly noticed that her tour participants were very mobile and that she could therefore do a bigger loop and show us more. No questions was left unanswered by her and she gave us some insider info as her friend works in the current excavation area. Albeit the tour was just around 1 hr 40 minutes we felt as if we had covered a lot of ground.
And Daniele was such a careful and courteous driver. I am often prone to motion sickness, but he managed all the tight curves and winding roads along the Amalfi Coast and thorough the small towns so smoothly that I never felt bad. It was lovely to come back to the bus after a hot trip through a town or after hot Pompeii and relax in a cooled down bus. Having the same bus all day long was certainly a bonus as it was so easy to take only what was necessary for the next section of the tour and leave the excess safely in the bus.
We are very glad that we chose to take a tour with Mondo

We took our teen-age daughters to Italy and worked with Mondo Guide to book tours in Naples, Capri and Rome. They did a fantastic job and were great to work with. They did a great job encapsulating a ton of history and hitting the highlights. We loved their use of analogies and stories to help digest the vastness of ancient Rome. We also loved the breadth of knowledge they had as we talked and walked. We received an email every day with details on where to meet, who the guide was for the day, and they were great about making adjustments thought our trip. Highly recommend.

Francisco was knowledgeable and enthusiastic to share his wisdom about Greek and Roman history and architecture in Napoli. Barabara gave us an enlightened view of Pompeii, keeping us informed about past and future excavations.

We loved the tour Francesco did. He was excellent and so knowledgeable about Naples. You are very fortunate to have such a fantastic tour guide. He was also very kind and patient with us. He answered all our questions and made the history of Naples come alive. The traffic gets busy particularly with motorcycles, but he kept us safe at all time. A big thanks to Francesco for giving us such a great tour.

Our group was about 15 and honestly it wasn’t too bad..this tour was included with a bus tour from Rome and was pretty pricey.

Please recommend me a day tour that does amalfi coast positano and pompeii. Can the tour brings me to sorrento too.

Mondo offers a great bus tour to Positano down the coast, and we had a wonderful Pompeii tour of four hours with a personal guide, who was an archeologist. Both basically take a day, are economically priced, and delightful. We were staying in Sorrento, and we were able to easily walk to the meeting point to embark. Mondo does a great job, first class all the way.

Each tour is priced separately. All are per person, and are reasonable. In one case, our group of four paid for six, to insure the minimum required, and still felt we got a good value. Either the website or a call to the Mondo Tours office will get you the specific pricing you need.

Go to mondo guide website and they are Rick Steve's associated tours. Loved the one at Pompeii and very reasonable . About 20 euros per person and lasted 3 hrs . Well worth it

My husband and I don't hear as well as we used to. Can anyone tell me if the Mondo Shared tours of Pompei rely on our hearing the guide naturally or if the participants wear a head set and the guide speaks through a microphone, etc. That works very well for us, but if there aren't headsets, I'm afraid we will spend all our time rushing past the sites and other tour members, trying to stay close enough to the guide so we can hear what he is saying. The group can be as large as 16, so that would be difficult.

Hello,
There are no listening devices available with Mondo as far as I know. But you might ask them directly. My husband wears hearing aids in both ears and was able to hear very well. It was not difficult to keep up with the group - mostly were middle-aged people. Hope that helps!
