This store is closed! My friend bought sandals here in 2018 and had a great experience, so I sought them out on my first day here. The shop is empty and the door is locked.

I recently stumbled across this beautiful boutique after an evening in Piazza Navona. The shop is simply exquisite where stunning artisan sandals are skilfully made to measure. Since shops have only been open for a short while post lockdown, I was the only customer and the sales assistant, Mariangela, couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. The store also sells hand crafted jewellery and I was enchanted by a pair of earrings which I promptly purchased. I have worn them a few times and have always had people comment on their beauty-a fantastic Roman souvenir! Next time I will have to buy some sandals. I highly recommend a visit to Di San Giacomo Sandals.

Claudio was extremely helpful and patient as my daughters picked out their styles and colors.
He worked right in front of us to truly showcase his craft which is an art! The sandals are beautiful and the quality is excellent. A true Italian experience in Rome!

My daughter and I wanted real Italian experience of our own so we stopped into this little shop, it was the best adventure we had, the owner took such great care of us, treated us like queens as we sat in the chair, explained how sandals were made and fitted them to our feet while we were there. This is the best souvenir you could ever take home. Thank you for a great experience, the sandals were fitted and ready for us to take home in less than an hour and there were lots of choices

Très jolie rencontre avec les propriétaires de cette boutique-atelier.
Je suis repartie avec une magnifique paire de sandales faite sur mesure et ornée de beaux bijoux.
Je n’a qu’une hâte : revenir à Rome pour pouvoir renouveler l’expérience et repartir avec une nouvelle paire!

I stumbled across this shop window on the way back from dinner and had to go back the next day. Gorgeous custom sandals made to fit your foot. I felt like a queen on the throne while she fit the sandal to me. By far my favorite souvenir of Rome. Am already plotting how I can go back and get my next pair!

Visiting Di San Giacomo sandals was a highlight of my time in Rome. It was such a fun experience to choose all of the design elements and then watch true artisans craft them together from all of the raw materials. I had a such a great time during the hour I spent in the shop and also got some lovely jewelry they made on site as gifts for friends back home. I took away some special memories as well as my handmade shoes.

Such a beautiful experience ... an elegant shop and owner crafting essentially Italian leather sandals made to fit my feet while my husband went for a coffee up the street (ask the storeowner where she takes her coffee ;) ... when I bring my friends and daughters back to Rome, we’ll go in for custom sandals every time! Ciao!

A dream, a true jem one moment away from Piazza Navona! You can make your own leather sandal by choosing colour, hill, style and decoration! A million of possibilities and great fan. A true Roman experience not to be missed. The shop is very crowed so maybe consider going early in the morning (they open at 10) or ypu can order the sandal and come back at a later stage. The shop is open also at night! So you can order the sandals and then pick them up after dinner! For the basic model it takes about 15 minutes to be made, a bit more for more complicated styles. In the back the workshop where you can see how the jewels are made.

If you ever come to Rome don’t miss this little sandal shop in 'the heart of Roma'. The sandals are hand made by Ms. Veronica, a true ‘maestro’ in what she does. Watching her creating the sandals was a real pleasure. If you choose the one with jewelry, each pair is unique. Love things created with love and heart. I was here exactly 5 years ago, got myself a pair and came back for another one.
