I was travelling with my elderly mum and this private tour is perfect as we were able tour at our own pace. Alessandro was our guide and he is knowledgeable and accommodating. His explanation is clear and sufficient for us to understand the main history of Rome. We even toured some churches and locations not in the itinerary and we appreciated the extra effort from Alessandro. We had a good time and would recommend this tour to families who travel with the elderly.

Alex was a wonderful host taking us to the most breathtaking sites all around the south of Italy. We all felt very comfortable and he treated us as family. He was knowledgeable of all the areas of our trip from Rome and brought us to unforgettable locations. Highly recommend asking for Alex when booking this tour.

We had a wonderful day with our tour guide Alex Paolini. Very informative and knowledgeable. I would certainly use him as a tour guide again.

We had an amazing day with Claudio! The van was spacious and comfortable for the five attendees. Claudio was kind, knowledgeable, and very fun to speak with. The locations were breathtaking, with a special callout to Ristorante Pagnanelli. A truly incredible dining experience with an amazing wine cellar. Claudio was a fun and engaging host, who elevated what would certainly have been an already fun itinerary to a truly amazing experience that we will remember for a long time.

What a beautiful day!!!! Once again, LivTours guides did an amazing job. Today we had Brando as we toured Orvieto and Civita di Bagnoregio. He is so incredibly personable and knowledgeable about all the history and sites. He is extremely passionate in what he does. We had a lovely lunch as well.

One of the best tours of Europe in 15 years of tours. We saw the main historical sites, enjoyed an awesome 4-course gourmet Italian lunch with paired Bocelli wines accompanied by a classical recital by a world class opera tenor and pianist. A highlight was our driver, Salvatore, who was not only an expert in navigating the back streets of Rome but was also an enthusiastic source Roman history.

We had Alessandro (Alex P.) as our driver and he was wonderful! Made our trip around the southern parts of Italy a breeze. We were pick up right in our hotel and then he dropped us off right at Pompeii. He then took us to a gorgeous stopping place along the almafi coast for pictures. He then took us to Sorrento where we shopped and ate. He was always available by phone when we needed him. This is a great way to see the southern side of Italy without any hassle.

we are looking for a driver from the port to Rome for 4 people on June 2. We want to leave in the morning, take us around rome then drop us off for abut 4-5 hours and then take us back to the ship. Is that something you do and how much would it be?

I will be in oct. 25th via Viking cruise. Me & my wife would like to have a private tour of as much of Rome as possible. I think your driver tours just drop you off at the sites or do they actually go with you and explain things. Thanks ken

Some of the sites you have to use the sites’ official guides or authorized guides such as the Vatican and the Colosseum (basically sites that you have to pay an admission fee). The other open sites, the driver will take you and explain. They know those places well.
I recommend you to book the ticket/tours online with their official websites. It’s cheaper than other commercial tours & you get the same or better tour.

Hello. I’m looking at the Ancient Rome Tour for Saturday July 13,2019. We are a family of 5 and will need to be picked up at the Fiumicino Airport at 7:30am and then dropped off after the tour at Civitavecchia Port for our cruise that departs at 5pm.
