Gian Luca, “LUCA” was bravissimo. We were very fortunate to join wonderful folks from Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, Florida and Houston. Extraordinary food and company as well as ancient ruins and recipes. This was a the company you want to book. 5 Stars from Rochester New York. Millie Grazie

Our host was Erika. She was awesome. So full of energy and knowledge. We all met at a wonderful place for espresso called Fabrica where the cappuccino are THE BEST in Rome! We then went to an open market where Erika had arranged for us to try different foods and we had time to purchase what we liked. We visited a place where you can buy fresh pastas and was able to go inside and see how the pasta was made. We then went to lunch where we had pasta and wine. Then as we walked Erika gave us some history of Rome and answered any questions we had as we made our way to have Gelato. Erika wanted to end the tour on the roof top of a hotel with an incredible view. She bought us a cafe’ and we sat around and talked about Rome and the sights available. She gave us tips on where to visit, where to eat, anything we wanted to discuss. She was not in a hurry, so friendly and fun. We all had to give yer a hug when we said goodbye to not just a “tour guide” but a new found friend. Thank you Erika. We will look you up when we return to Rome.😘

I enjoyed the tour and learning about different foods and great local quality of food. Eric our tour guide was informative, professional and great. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend to my family and friends

Really loved every bit of this tour our guide Tommasio was great he took us to some local favourite spots we tried lots of amazing food and learnt a lot about Roman culture he was very knowledgable we were in a small group which made more enjoyable give it a go ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My wife and I had this tour in the company of Maurizio, an American Italian, who proved to be a knowledgeable and entertaining guide. We were the only people booked on the tour that day, which was no problem, and helped give us a more personal experience. The tour started with a simple croissant and cappuccino breakfast at a local coffee bar; we then visited a local food market and had the chance to sample a number of local delicacies: we recommend the porchetto sandwich, a very good roast pork sandwich, and the chocolate hazelnut spread, which is a world of difference from Nutella. It's possible to sample a whole range of foods, including beer, truffle oil and cheese. Then passed through the Jewish quarter (closed as we visited on Saturday), onto a cheeses shop for a cheese tasting with a glass of wine. Then Roman style pizza slice and gelato to finish. Overall a different way to spend time in Rome and well worthwhile. All food was included in the tour price and there is absolutely no need to eat anything before the tour. Highly recommended.

We booked a morning food tour in the Trionfale and Prati neighborhoods with Maurizio, and it was amazing. I'm so glad we did this on our first full day in Rome. It was the perfect orientation to Roman cuisine and wine and informed our dining for the remainder of our time in Rome. Maurizio is extremely personable and knowledgeable and gave us an excellent primer on Italian coffee culture, bakeries, wine, cheeses, meats, and gelatos. We visited several different cafes and restaurants and toured a bustling marketplace. Worth every penny and would do it again. Highly recommended.

We had a private tour with Hande in August, which is not an easy month in Rome as many places are closed for summer holidays. She knew all the right and best places to visit and is extremely professional, knowledgeable (being a food expert and wine sommelier) and friendly. We loved it and will book again with Hande next time we're in Rome. The group tours are small so don't hesitate, book early and try to do it near the start of your stay in Rome - so you can go back to explore some more and also go to the excellent places Hande will no doubt recommend.

Spending 3 hours with Hande talking about food and wandering through Rome was an enlightening experience for us. We learned a ton about pizza, pasta, all kinds of cheeses, pork, coffee and, importantly, gelato. She answered all of our many, many questions about food and drink in Italy with aplomb. Perhaps best of all, she gave us loads of recommendations for places to dine, and they all turned out to be just really top notch. It's surprisingly hard to find great food in Rome - the lousy tourist joints far outnumber the great restaurants and cafes. Hande helped us spend our time and money wisely, and she taught us a ton. Next time we're in Rome we'll definitely do another food tour with her.

Experiencing this Rome food tour was a great template for exploring the city when you have no idea where you’re going. Simply put, Rome is too big of a city to fit into a one-day experience (if possible, stay here as long as you can!). For me personally, I found this tour to be a great introduction to the city (it’s my first time in Rome) that brings insight into the Roman diet and lifestyle. The highlight of this tour was our stop at Mercato di Campagna Amica del Circo. We had a freshly roasted pork sandwich, sampled a variety of vegetables, preserves, and finished that pit stop of with a craft beer. I personally found the transitions between each stop smooth and memorable because of the historic sites and the knowledge our tour guide passed down to us. Towards the end, we had an excellent wine and cheese pairing that was complimentary in flavors, thanks to our tour guide being a sommelier. Gelato is always a must, and to conclude the experience, our tour guide informed us about distinguishing a chemically enhanced gelateria and an organic one. Having tried a REAL gelato for the first time in my life sealed the deal for this tour. I will forever remember the organic taste of my apricot & ricotta gelato. When in Rome, I hope you do this food tour. Doing this experience established a good ambiance for may experience in Rome.

We first had a tasting with Hande and then a food tour. Although this was our fourth trip to Rome, she managed to show us a complete neighborhood we had not seen before. It was very residential and going through its market and various artisanal shops with Hande was a delight. She explained lots of vegetables and how they are used in Rome, we tasted maný different things. We will never forget the pizzas we had with her at Pizzarium and and the forno, and the gelato has a special place in our hearts, too. We can not wait to go back to Rome and see another part of it with Hande. This was not only delicious but also very informative, and Hande has a great personality and anecdotes from all areas of life in Rome. Don´t miss!
