SUPERB FROM START TO FINISH

First and foremost thanks to Sean and Imelda for such a professional set up. From start to finish it was seamless. The whats app and email correspondence in advance of the trip arranging the dates and meeting points was brilliantly organised. Imelda kept me informed up until we arrived in ROme. Hadi then txted the meeting point on Tuesday , The same went for Margarita and Valeria.

We booked 3 tours with Angel Tours, the highlight being the Golf Cart Tour. Special thanks to Hadi our guide last Wednesday morning 15th March. We loved the tour from start to finish. Even the coffee stop was amazing . Went back every morning since for a coffee. Hadi explained everything in such detail and gave time to my kids . He brought us to the main sites along with few other surprise pit stops.
Highly recommend this on the first morning if you haven't been to Rome before. Brilliant way to get your bearings
Next we went on the Colossuem Tour with Margarita (who happens to be an Architect specialising in Archaeology) , who better to guide you through the roman forum , walk up palatine hill and then walk through the colosseum .
Finally on Thursday we spent the afternoon on Vatican City with Valeria. She was excellent. Valeria is so knowledgable on the entire city and its amazing museums. The highlight of the tour being Sistene chapel and St Peters, NO queueing with Angel Tours - was brilliant as the were massive crowds and queues at the entrance. We avoided this and went straight in.

Vatican Tour quick entry & The Colosseum semi tour

My husband & I booked Angel tours after hearing a review on a radio travel show. We were delighted that the tours were professional and excellent quality.

The 1st tour we booked was a private tour of the Vatican. I highly recommend this tour. Simply because within this tour the average wait to visit the Vatican can be 45 minutes and longer with very large crowds. Thankfully we had booked with Angel tours so none of that. No queue, fast, easy entry - we really felt like VIPs from the start of tour right to the end. Our guide made us feel at easy and explained the history, art and beautiful building in a delightful way.

The 2nd tour we booked was the Colosseum semi tour. This tour was booked semi tour but we ended up being the only party on the tour. VIPs again for a day.

This was a wonderful tour of Ancient Rome. We started with the Colossem and then across the way to Palatine Hill. This beautiful and well preserved Roman ruins with plenty of scenic viewpoints to take pictures of the city. You might think you don’t need a tour guide as there are plenty of signs but you absolutely do need a guide. Our guide brought the buildings back to life by explaining the history, the use, structure and much more. I would highly recommend this tour with Angel tours without a guide you are just going for a stroll in any park.

Don’t wait just book!

If you have any doubts - don’t hesitate. The best and most fun way to cover a lot of ground on a hot Roman day. Whizz past the crowds with a warm breeze in your hair and stop to take in all the sights. The guides are all genuine and friendly as well as being incredibly knowledgeable. I have taken this tour with Angel tours twice now and my only regret is that they are already sold out for my return dates in 2023. The owners are also the nicest people and when I had an issue with the dates I booked (time zone difference) they were incredibly accommodating and rebooked at no charge even though thei guide had waited for me the day prior. Just really good people. I would do this tour over and over again and never get enough of seeing different parts of Rome in all its glory.

We loved it… it was just the two of us with Flavio
I think he appreaciated the fact we love art .. my husband is a graphic designer.. and Flavio is at art school
He charmed us with wee side stories
We parked up beside a ‘priests shop’ .. that sold vestments chalices etc… we were laughing .. Flavio was perplexed… so we told him about Fr Ted getting the really really black socks in this sort of shop
Also loved scooting in and around on the golf buggy.. meeting all sorts of characters .. one lady was ‘giving off’ to us .. ‘Rome is not Disneyland’ 😄

Have recommended this tour to friends

Only complaint was it was over too quickly

The best tour we did on our European vacation

This golf cart tour through Rome was the highlight of our trip to Italy. Actually, it was one of the best parts of our whole trip to Europe. Sean was an amazing tour guide. He was filled with knowledge and humor and so aware of all of the hidden gems in Rome. It happened to be 105 degrees that day so taking the golf cart tour instead of walking was even more worthwhile. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for a great way to explore Rome especially if your time is limited. We will definitely use Angel Tours again and tell all of our traveling friends about this amazing company!

Highlight of our trip to Rome

5 star tours presented by 5 star guides. Made our trip so memorable. Many thanks to Sahar - golf cart tour, Assunta - Vatican tour and Margarita for our Colosseum ,Palatine Hill and Roman Forum tour. Super friendly and a wealth of knowledge. Each tour we did with Angel tours was fantastic. First day the golf cart tour with Sahar was superb. Great to see so much of the city and to enjoy the best coffee ever tasted in a coffee house opened since 1900. Gave us the chance to pick out a few places we wanted to see more of in our free time. Great chats as we travelled around Rome. Second day we had Assunta for our Vatican tour. Again a fantastic tour was had. Assunta is a powerhouse of information and made sure we didn't pass any of the important sites. She answered any questions we had about various artifacts. Her relaxed personality gave us a memorable visit and she made sure we took time to savor every moment. On our final day we met Margarita who was our guide to the Colosseum. Again she gave us flawless account and presented in detail a picture of what life was like during construction and afterwards. She was able to guide us to all the perfect places for viewing and photo opportunities. The 3 guides gave 110% and presented each tour to perfection. Advice for any would be travellers would be to avail of the off peak quieter times to allow yourself to enjoy every second of these tours . You won't be disappointed. At no stage had we to queue as tickets / skip the queue all had been purchased. Yes we could have done the DIY entry and look around ourselves but would have had to queue , ,would have missed half of it and wouldn't have fully understood what life was like then. Wholeheartedly 100% recommend a tour with Angel tours from our visit. Angela was also great to deal with sending meeting points and itinaries. All the guides made contact the day before each tour by what's app and introduced themselves and confirmed the meeting points. Now I just need to see where else Angel tours offer guided tours so we can book our next city break. Worth every cent .

Best Way to See Rome

We went 2 for 2 with Angel Tours. First we did the golf cart tour around Rome. Sahar was our guide and she brought great energy, knowledge and flexibility to our tour around Rome. It was so much fun and a great way to see so many of Rome’s amazing sights/squares in a short amount of time.
The other tour we enjoyed was the Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s. Our guide, Valeria, was so kind and did a great job gauging our interest and provided us with just the right amount of information & fun tidbits to keep the tour moving along at a good pace. This is especially so for my teenage children - she kept them engaged by asking them questions. Valeria was so knowledgeable and passionate about everything she showed us. Thanks to her we all walked away with a great appreciation of the Roman culture and the arts. Highly recommend both these tours!

We hebben Rome bezocht met onze familie (11 personen), dit in 2 Golfcars van Angel tours ! dit is onvergetelijk ! we hebben heel veel ontdekt en ook uitleg erover gekregen, anders zouden we dit nooit ontdekt hebben. De 2 Gidsen/drivers waren top. Dank je Sarah en je vriend. Ook de organisator Sean was top.
In de Vaticaan Tour hebben we, ook via Angel Tours, met onze gids Valeria heel veel uitleg gekregen en ze kon, heel goed, de aandacht van onze jongeren trekken met hun opzoekingen te laten doen.
Ook de organisator van dit, Sean, was top.
