Really nice museum. Definitely worth a side trip to see this museum. The entrance price of 5€ was quite reasonable as well :)

Sono stata la museo per vedere una mostra temporanea, ma il museo merita una visita per tutto ciò che offre anche in maniera stabile. Un vero GIOIELLO. Credo dovrebbe essere visitato con i ragazzi per mostrare loro da dove vengono le tante tecnologie che oggi utilizziamo. Consigliatissimo.

Oggi, dopo anni di rinvii, ho deciso di dedicare parte della giornata alla visita di questo museo, penalizzato dalla sua location periferica e raggiungibile con una lunga e bella passeggiata a piedi dal centro solo per i più sportivi e motivati. Pareva brutto dopo sessant'anni di vita in città non averlo ancora visitato. Credevo fossero esposti un paio di oggetti e stop. E invece è un museo (Comunale) ricchissimo e molto interessante. E' pieno di macchine industriali di cui ho capito ben poco non avendo una cultura ingegneristica. Ma è interessante anche per i profani, grazie alle didascalie esplicative che raccontano un mondo industriale bolognese che affonda le sue radici nel Rinascimento. Ad esempio ho appreso che la Maserati, che credevo modenese, sia stata fondata a Bologna dove inizialmente ha avuto luogo la sua produzione di macchine da corsa. Una gentile volontaria mi ha dato spiegazioni sull'allestimento museale. All'interno del museo attualmente è in corso una piccola mostra sui motorini bolognesi.

il museo andrebbe forse pubblicizzato meglio? è estremamente interessante e posto in un luogo molto affascinante (in buona parte all'interno di un antico forno per laterizi). non è in centro ma il percorso per arrivarci è gradevole, dal Parco Angeletti potete imboccare il sentiero che costeggia il canale Navile. VISITATELO!!

Il gran numero di attività industriali "sbocciate " a Bologna nell' arco degli anni passati e la "incredibile" storia del porto che aiutò in passato la meravigliosa esperienza della seta .

Per gli appassionati di storia urbana e di storia idraulica è un appuntamento da non perdere. Un po’ meno originale la sezione dedicata all’industria moderna.

Il museo ha riaperto, dopo il lockdown.
E' necessario acquistare online il biglietto e prenotare la visita.
E' fuori dal centro storico, ma è facilmente raggiungile o col bus (fermata CNR) o in bicicletta, attraverso un bel parco.
La struttura è molto bella (una ex fornace di laterizi) e l'esposizione, su tre piani, è ricca.
Storia industriale di Bologna e Bologna setificio pre-industriale.
Aria condizionata, qualche risorsa interattiva, delle guide molto competenti e disponibili a rispondere alle domande e curiosità.
Una risorsa non ancora pienamente conosciuta di Bologna.

The museum is quite a display of history of the water powered machines all the way to the modern age. A lot of the displays show a beautiful open design to explain how things work. I enjoyed showing this to my daughter who thoroughly enjoyed the museum as well. A lot of the machines could be activated as well to see how they would work in real life.
Unfortunately the 3rd floor was closed, but despite that it was well worth a visit to see the history of industrial bologna at display.

On the day we appeared to be the only visitors, such a shame. We love economic, social and industrial history, so totally agree with the sentiment ' a dream for the curious and the nerdy'. The museum is out of town, but we didn't mind, we enjoyed the walk back into Bologne.

Prima domenica del mese gratis. Ho fatto un giro di pomeriggio e di gente devo dire che non ce n'era. Comunque bella ricostruzione storica dell'industria locale rivista in chiave internazionale.
