We had a private class with Pietro and it was such an amazing experience! Pietro was so knowledgable, professional and friendly. The food turned out amazing, and we can't wait to make it again at home. This is the third cooking class we have taken in Italy on vacation and by far our favorite. Hope to take another class with Pietro during our next visit. Thanks for a great memory:)

This cooking class was a lot of fun! The location was great since it was walkable from the center of Bologna. They made everything very beginner-friendly and easy to replicate. The food was great & the atmosphere was fun! I would recommend this class to anyone. Thank you!

My 2 teenagers and I did this class as part of our Intrepid group tour of Italy. This was a fantastic class run by Michelle who was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed it and I think it was the highlight of the trip for my teenagers! Great to eat pasta we made our self and so much fun as a group too.

My son and I took a wonderful pasta making class with Michelle. We found this class through the recommendation of a Bologna native who told us that it was the best pasta making class in Bologna. Michelle expertly guided my son and I who each have different levels of cooking experience. We made tagliatelle with a Bolognese ragu, tortellini in a sage butter sauce and gnochhi in a tomato sauce. All three dishes turned out well, despite our fumbling efforts! Michelle kept the flow going with great instructions and easy conversation, and at the end, we feasted on our creations with a glass of wine. It was a wonderful experience, and my only regret is that I had not attended the class sooner. I learned so much!

Our private cooking class was wonderful! My daughter and I met Barbara in the food market. She gave us a tour, explained the history of the market, the meats, the mortadella, and bought supplies for our class. Barbara doesn't teach from recipes - which she supplies AFTER the meal, so we could understand the process and learn that Italian cooking is intuitive. We made ravioli, tortelloni and noodles, Bolognese ragu. After he first bite, my daughter sighed, "I have never eaten anything like this in my life."

I had a wonderful time with Barbara. We made the famous tagliatelle al ragu (or Bolognaise sauce), gnocchi, tortelloni and even a little bit of ravioli. This was a lot to process (and to eat) for the middle of the day, but Barbara will send you the recipies so you can try it at home. It's a very nice hands on experience and you really learn the way of (Northern)-Italian cooking!

We had an amazing experience in the cooking class. The cooking class is very professional and we learned a lot about Italian cuisine and in particular about the food in Bologna. Pietro was our guide and he was very interesting and patient. The work space is spacious and well equipped. And of course all the dishes we prepared were insanely delicious.

The pasta class was one of the highlights of our Italy trip with Intrepid Travel. Michelle was a wonderful, knowledgeable and funny instructor who knows how to make pasta and visiting Bologna an experience!

I took a private class with Pietro and is was fantastic! I learned to make traditional bolognese with tagliatelle pasta, pumpkin ravioli with sage butter sauce and zuccherini cookies. Pietro was engaging, fun and an excellent instructor. When I wanted to learn how to make a local cookie, he accommodated my request with the zuccherini cookie. I loved being hands on in the kitchen and learning from Pietro because a recipe doesn't always give you the technique and art of cooking in an Italian kitchen. Highly recommend to anyone planning a visit to Bologna!!

Very enjoyable, educational and best of all delicious cooking class. The class was well paced, and the instruction was excellent. We made three different kinds of pasta, and I cannot wait to use these recipes again when we get home. I was particularly grateful that Pietro explained not only the "how" but also the "why" and I have a renewed appreciation for cooking as a science as well as an art.

How far are you from the Bologna airport? How much would it cost to take a taxi to the airport?

We are about 6 km far from the airport. Taxi costs 20/25 euros or you can take BLQ bus from the airport to the train station with some stops nearby.
